Scott & White Summer intern 2016

Published

Hi Im applying for Baylor Scott and White graduate nurse internship program for summer of 2016. Was wondering if anyone was too!!

Specializes in psych.

The psych position is not affiliated with Baylor. The downside is there is no tuition reimbursement and the health insurance will cost more. I have not received an offer from Baylor yet just an email for a phone screen. It's just hard to decide between doing something medical or psych.

Sneed I have heard the same about specialty units like having less experience. I guess that way we wouldn't have bad habits from different type of units.

It may be too late but for those interested in Peds I highly recommend checking out McLane Children's Hospital in Temple. Impressive facility, great culture, and they seem to treat their employees like people and not numbers. I was impressed by them more than the big boys in DFW (Children's & Cook).

Got a rejection email from Baylor Scott and White today. I think it was for the DFW area critical care application.

I'm interviewing with critical care this week!

Has anyone heard from L&D or NICU units?

Specializes in CV|OR.

Sorry to hear that deza! I know that specialty is competitive! I'm pretty sure Baylor S&W will be conducting tons of interview throughout April at least since internships won't start until June and July, so stay hopeful!

Eh its ok. I should have gotten a recommendation from a unit manager, but I didn't think about it until spring break. I have a position waiting for me at one of my jobs and I also accepted an offer from THR, neither of them are critical care though.

Good deal. Do you mind me asking which THR location?

That's awesome you had a job offer @deza!

Specializes in Neuro ICU.

Received an offer over the phone 10 minutes after walking out of the interview room for CVICU at BUMC. They said to expect a call in a few days so I was surprised!

Wow @heyjack that's awesome! When did you interview with them?
