Hi Im applying for Baylor Scott and White graduate nurse internship program for summer of 2016. Was wondering if anyone was too!!
I talked to the manager first and then to the nurse supervisor. The manager asked me to tell her about myself and why I chose nursing, while the supervisor asked me what I expected from the work and what was something special that I did to a patient. Questions were quite general and not tricky or difficult. I enjoyed both interviews. I also had questions for them, so I felt it was more of a conversation. Both the manager and the supervisor were very informative, so I learned a lot about the unit.
SMSRNTX, I was offered a job on that unit but I ended up not taking it. I accepted another offer from a different hospital. I believe the program at Baylor is about 12 weeks and then you start working on your own, without a preceptor I mean. Wish I could help you more. That's all I know.
Trust me you really help me!
I'm nervous, so nervous to be honest. Cause the send me an interview invitation for the Internship at the Med/Surg unit.
I don't have any idea about what they asking in this specif kind of interview and I don't have idea about the internship.
I will do my best...
Just wondering if anyone who went through the internship had any insight into program information?
I'm less concerned about pay and benefits and more interested in information on: the layout of the program; classroom education that is included; if mentorship services are included; start date; length of program and end date; if the program culminates in a guaranteed full time position; and if there is an employment contract and for how long (does it include the internship or begin after).
