Scott & White Summer intern 2016

Published

Hi Im applying for Baylor Scott and White graduate nurse internship program for summer of 2016. Was wondering if anyone was too!!

Actually my friend said they started her off at 28, not 24. Anyone else have anything different?

Hey! I applied and had a phone interview/screen last week since I am out of state. Does anyone know when they are going to give us the final word? Do they always send out rejection letters if you don't get the position?

What location?

did you ever hear from them for these positions???

Sorry I am talking about the NICU, L&D, or any of the womans positions. Does anyone know if those spots have all been filled yet??

When they send out rejection letters it's usually when they absolutely positively know they're not going to offer you a position. A lot of times they will wait and send one out until everything is officially filled or they know they're not interested. That way they can still keep you around as an option if they need to. So short story long, sometimes rejection letters come later than you expect.

Would you guys mind telling how you're liking it at Baylor? I am interested in the CC internship for the Fall.

Also, for those who were hired, what do you think made you stand out as an applicant? (Gpa, experience, volunteer etc)

Specializes in CV|OR.

There were only about 2-3 L&D positions filled at my location. 2 OR (myself included), and one educator for that department. I'm not sure about the other specialties but orientation just started for us last Monday, June 13th. I'm loving it so far! It's the best hospital orientation I've ever attended! All Baylor new employees met at the Irving site, so there were about 250 altogether from all specialties. I really love what they stand for, and they made me feel passionate about what they believe in, too! :) As far as what I think made me stand out in my interview, I believe honesty, genuineness, and passion really makes you stand out. They do not want anyone who really doesn't want to be there.

Thanks so much for your response! I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying it so far. Didn't realize it had just started. It sounds like an awesome organization from what you've described!

Would love to hear from others!!

Just starting in the CC Residency at Baylor Dallas. We have had orientation system and new grad nurses for the past two weeks. Residency starts on Monday. Love it so far.
