I am currently attending penn valley for pre reqs, however I am having to pay out of pocket. I am having trouble paying for it & can't get loans until at least my second semester into the nursing program. I know there are other schools around that I could use my financial aid at, but not sure if they are any good. Any experiences with ones like NAU, Concorde, heritage... Any like that? Or if there are any suggestions as well, I'm open to options.

Hey Amber, Have you decided what school you're going to?

My suggestion would be to steer clear of NAU. My hospital doesn't hire their graduates. I don't know about the others. I went to JCCC. Fantastic program, but hard to get into.

I posted previously but couldn't remember my login info. Oops. I ended up doing a medical assisting program, I will graduate this December and plan to go to Penn valley. I'm hoping to pay out of pocket for most of the program, then get my BSN and possibly crna!

I'm also hoping to pay out of pocket for most of the program... Here's hoping we don't end up in the poor house!
