  1. I have found a few topics on this, but most of them aren't to part I am about to test over yet. I was hoping to get some for the test I have next week. I will post some of the topics and the name of the chapters I am being tested on this coming week. I have tried A&P two other times and so I am really wanting to be successful, the entire class is based on testing and I have very bad test anxiety (I do have medicine to take prior) but still, any help would be awesome, even if its on simple stuff, I tend to forget my name when it comes time to take a test. Ha. I have only listed a few items that she gave us for review to give an idea of what the chapter is. Chapter 1- The human organism *Organization of an organism *Organ systems and functions of each *Body cavities and serous membranes associated with it *Quads and regions and what organs are in each - Thats a few of the topics I have written for the review just as an idea of what chapter this is. Chapter 2- The chemical basis of life *Types of chemical reactions *Basic info about lipids, carbs and proteins *Ionic and covalent bonds *Potential and kinetic energy - Again this is just a few of the items she told us to review, but there is a lot more. Chapter 3- Cell Biology *Structure of plasma membrane *Movement through plasma membrane *Organelles and what they do *DNA duplication *Protein synthesis *Life cycle of a cell Chapter 4- Tissues *Proteins across membrane-symports, etc (sorry thats the only note I made by that) *Then some way to remember the tissues and features. Epithelium, Connective, Muscle, and Nervous I really appreciate any suggestions!
  2. Very helpful information, thank you! I had it planned to do the gen ed prior to the program, just wasn't totally sure if I had to before I applied too. You answered all my questions though :) How do you like the program so far?
  3. Penn valley-MCC (kansas city) I was curious when it comes to applying, there are only really 3 classes required to apply correct? BIO A&P GEN PSYCHOLOGY the gen ed can be done while in the program or waiting to get in, is that right? Anyone know if at any point in the program, are we able to test to be an LPN while in school to be an RN, is that possible? Also, has anyone done the nights/weekends program? What hours were you in class/doing clinicals? The only points now are based on GPA and if you have kicro from what I gathered, is that still accurate as well? Thank you!!
  4. I would like to know about scholarships as well, I was just browsing around online but I dont know much about them.
  5. Whew repeating doesn't natter, it's only the most recent grade that does. thank gosh.
  6. Oh that's something I'm going to check in to. That wouldn't be a bad idea.
  7. I'm going to try to contact them again tomorrow, I don't believe its listed or maybe they just don't have a policy against it. I don't see anything outlined about it. I'll just cross my fingers it doesn't count horrible against me..
  8. I definitely plan to be an RN I just wasn't sure if the extra step of LPN was worth the time and extra loan debt.
  9. No kids, no real rush other than I wish I could be done quicker. My bf pays the rent then pay utilities so I pay less, but I have quite a few of my own bills still.
  10. Where do you find the info about that on the sites you've seen? I can't seem to find anything anywhere about that stuff.
  11. I withdrew before the grade counted against me in any way. It just shows W not actual grade.
  12. My most recent time my job was requiring a ridiculous amount of hours and it prevented me from being able to keep up with everything. Not a good excuse but school doesn't come easy for me and requires an extreme amount of studying and work didn't care. I quit that job in Feb though, so I'm hoping everything goes much smoother from here on out.
  13. One is too old two may be too old and one I had.to drop for numerous reasons two times and trying again in the fall. Hopefully more successfully.
  14. I'm just checking experinaces I just need to see there is hope at least :) I'll try to find the app on there and see if it says
  15. I've looked on their site but I missed them on Friday before they closed so, its been bugging me since and had me questioning if I need a new plan.
