This is great as could have gone the other way.
Missing schoolgirl Shannon Matthews has been found alive 24 days after she disappeared following one of the UK's biggest police searches.

There was a very similar story here in the States, the girl was also found in the wooden base of a bed, it was a water bed in that case. That poor child, at least she is alive.

I can't imagine how distessed I would be if my daughter was missing.

Typical Daily Mail headline - Why did it take so long to find her? Why has the Daily Mail got such a downer on public service workers like the Police and Nurses.
I think the Yorkshire Police deserve a big pat on the back for finding her. Well done.

I just read this story on the BBC news. I am so sorry for that little girl and I hope she can look forward to the rest of her life in a positive way

It's a really strange one though - she's still under a care order & was found in the house of an uncle of her extended family. Very, very weird set up altogether!
I also echo your thoughts re the press - I think the police did a great job!
