school records dilemma

hi this is my first time to post a thread in the international forum, i just want to pour out this problem of mine regarding my transcript of records in which my school said and is really standing by it that they already sent my TOR to the CA board together with the forms from the board that they have to fill up but when i called the board they said otherwise, they only have the forms but not the transcript, i sent my application to the board march of this year and up to now i dont have my eligibility yet because of this mess, what should i do, should i just send my transcript from the philippines thru someone from there who'll do it for me, as long as it has the school's envelope and seal(which of course we will get from my school)? i really dont know what happened, if the school really sent it and the board lost it or my school actually did a mistake by not including my tor with the forms when they mailed it and because they dont want to bother sending another tor again they sticking out to their statement that they did send it. And one more thing since my TOR is the only thing lacking in the items required by the board to complete my file, when they do recieve it how long will it take for me to recieve my eligibility?any ideas?

I would suggest that the best way still is to coordinate with your school and request another copy to be send in the board.There is no way I believe that Ca board will accept documents other that the one send directly by your school. You might suggest express mailing from your school for speed and tracking of your documents( With additional fee for sure). California is slow in processing application due to bulk of applicants usually 3-4 months. I believe that TOR is the most essential document in processing you eligibility to take the test. You can also "help" your school sending your "complete papers in a sealed envelope" by "volunteering" to become their "postal messenger" and pay for an express delivery.

Once BRN receive your transcript, it may take another month or two.

thank you nursedandy,futureUSRN and jonRNMD for your replies it's deeply appreciated. I totally agree with futureUSRN that i would still coordinate with my school but i might as well be their postal messenger by sending the TOR from them myself via express mail in that way i would be totally be sure my TOR would reach CA board and on time because after what happened i dont think i would trust my school again with the sending of my TOR.

I know how frustrating that thing could be. But one thing that you could do is to coordinate with your Registrar and have a courier (Fedex or DHL perhaps) pick it up from your school.

thanks caringnursenj that's what i already had in mind, i instructed a friend of mine in the philippines to coordinate with my school and a courier to mail my TOR express hope everything will run smoothly this time,i dont want any more delays and i just wish i would be able to sit in the exam before the year ends or if not early next year.
