To all you school nurses.
Here's hoping you get your snow day.............
ENJOY!!!!

Had off today, anyway, my wife got the day off. Day off tomorrow, can't help to think about the here and now, I can make up the sleep I lost on those hot plastic mattresses. Yea! Until June.
I sure don't miss sleeping on the plastic mattresses they gave us at the old job to sleep on during snow storms. Thankful to ride this one out at home and not have to pack a bag and hope to make it in and home in one piece.
I have to comment, of course I'm just nursing student but i can't wait to become a nurse stuck in a nice warm school or hospital helping patients that need me when its snowing outside, slick and nasty. Just a little about myself I am self employed owner operator in the trucking industry and I live in Colorado. Just about everyday from November to May I encounter snow, sleet or ice in one form or another not to mention the occasional skiers that go 90 miles an hour on black ice. Needless to say I'm ready for my career change. Just another perspective from someone who is in the elements everyday. I hope you get my drift no pun intended lol.
For my peeps in NYC I will be there this weekend with a college roomie.....recommended shoe wear??? Boots? How much snow is still on the sidewalks? We are taking Amtrak into Penn, prob cab it to the hotel (MidTown Hilton), maybe catch a show if we can get something at TKTS.
I hate wet feet but don't want to show too much of my northern new england backcountry survival gear if I can help it! The city is more dressuppier (is that even a word?) than where I live for sure!!!!
Thx!!

I was thankful that we had a closed floor that had approx. 200 beds for employees and I had a room to myself. Some places had cots in office spaces.

You can wear regular boots. The sidewalks are down to pavement.
Go to GCS if you can. It is so beautiful since it's been redone. Little bars and restaurants around and inside.
What show are you looking to see?
My friends and I just saw Spring Awakening.
Tres risqué.
We went to The Campbell Apartment. Then we went to The Oyster Bar. Then we went to plain' ol' sports bars. Then I took the train home at 1am and for some reason a Big Huge Cup of Blue Moon sounded like a great idea...
