So I am starting school next week. Any one else? I think I will start a thread about my course. I think it would be nice if we all did this on this thread. We can all keep up with each other and maybe make an online study group if we are studying the same thing at the same time. My start date is 01/04/2012. My fundamentals of nursing book is by DeWitt. I believe that is the first book we are going to start out with. Does anyone have this book yet? I don't get mine until next week. Hope to hear from anyone!
I can't believe it! School starts tomorrow! Lvnstudent213 I'm so jealous of you! My program has 6 months of straight lecture and then the last 5 1/2 months we will have clinic three times a week while the other two days in class. Well I have work tonight but I promise I will be back on tomorrow after class (after class :-) loves it!!) to tell about it.
@kali oh wow! idk if I could do that lol. I'm glad I found the program thought it was a close call. I found out about it a few weeks before the deadline and rushed everything lol. I'm happy that prereqs weren't required. I couldn't wait 6 months until clinicals gosh!! We start our clinicals March 19th and its every Thursday and Friday from about 6:30a to 2p. I'm excited :)
I have discovered that getting hired is all about how hard you try, and who you know. LPNs are still getting hired, maybe not in hospitals, but none the less. There are many BSN students out there who are bogged down with thousands of dollars in debt and no job. It all depends on the person, really.

My lpn program doesn't require prereqs, but if you have them you aren't required to take a&p, nutrition, and lifespan in the program.
