School next week

So I am starting school next week. Any one else? I think I will start a thread about my course. I think it would be nice if we all did this on this thread. We can all keep up with each other and maybe make an online study group if we are studying the same thing at the same time. My start date is 01/04/2012. My fundamentals of nursing book is by DeWitt. I believe that is the first book we are going to start out with. Does anyone have this book yet? I don't get mine until next week. Hope to hear from anyone!

I know! I have forever wanted to do a Vlog on YouTube whenever I got into my program...but the more I look at this course load and more a laugh at that idea! I might try to go to my tumblr and update once a week or something like that, but that's all. I wish I could, but I just don't see it happening!

I don't get my full schedule till tomorrow, I'm really excited! Idk how crazy it's going to be, but I'm told graduation is November 16,2012 so I'm guessing no blog/vlog either. I noticed that no one from my school is on here, so I'm going to try to keep posing about what's going on, just in case a future student what's to know the scoop. Sheesh. It's 9:47 pm Alaska time and I'm far from sleepy. Took two showers tonight once I got home from work, (had a pt vomit on me ) hopefully it will make me sleepy. Ttyl!!

I have my schedule, I'm pretty satisfied with it since I was told before we'd be in class m-f 8-3

on Mon I have no classes :)

Tues A&P 8-1

Wed Med Math 8-11:50

Thurs Nursing Skills lab 7:30a-3p (was told we wouldn't stay there for the whole period)

Friday Nursing Skills lec 8-11:50

Then I have Foundations and Lifespan online

With this schedule I'm pretty happy. I'm looking to work anywhere from pt to ft. If I work in a hosp I'd want to work a 12 hour shift on Monday and Saturday. and maybe a 4-5 hour shift in the evening on Wednesday and Friday.

School is this coming Monday for me! I am so excited to finally be taking classes in the program and clinicals! I can't wait! I'll be taking 12 credit hours! Not too little, not too much. Good luck everyone!
