Hello . I am starting this thread for anyone who has applied for the fall 2012 start suffolkc.c.c. nursing program. I have applied for the Ammerman day program. I was hoping to find some company on my journey to acceptance day(hopefully:)).

Izziesmomma - yay, congrats!! I don't think u can pay online because the cashiers office has to stamp the form that is in with your acceptance letter which then has to go to the registrar's office so they can change your curriculu,

Hello Everyone! Congrats to you all. I was accepted into the Ammerman Evening Program. My clinical will be at St. Catherine's. Anyone else at St. Catherine's on Tuesday?

Hi meem311! I'm doing ammerman evening too at st caterine's but i'll be doing thursday night clinicals. Can't wait for orientation next tuesday!!!

So how did everyone's orientation go? I went May 30th in the Am. I had butterflies, but it was not as intimidating as I thought.

Hey jrosa, I went to the evening orientation on the 29th at ammerman. I enjoyed it. It was nice to meet some of the professors and students, but it seemed like most of everything they went over was in the handbook or on the website. I thought it was funny how much time they spent talking about how appropriate underwear should be worn with your uniform lol I guess its not common sense to everyone :) Now I'm trying to figure out how to afford this ATI thing...but overall still excited

Hi there IzziesMomma, I've also been accepted into Ammerman's program for the fall. Unfortunately I did not attend orientation, as I got my dates mixed up. I've been trying to get a hold of someone to inform them about this, but I've been unsuccessful. Did they do any type of roll call?

Hi caitcusak, congrats on getting accepted! You didn't miss too much at the orientation, most of it can be found on the nursing home page. They did however pass out some papers with the books we are going to need and some summer reading assignments so you'll want to try and get those. And yes they did take attendance, they sent around a sign in sheet. Perhaps if you can't get in touch with anyone over the phone you could try through the nursing clubs web site, its AmmermanNursingClub.blogspot.com and they also have a link to their facebook page there. Hope that helps you a little, good luck with everything!

Okay, thank you so much! I have received papers in the mail regarding textbooks and assignments for the first day. I also heard from other students who were in the program previously that we are required to get white scrubs for clinicals, does this still hold true? Thank you for responding, helps me out a whole lot!
