Hello . I am starting this thread for anyone who has applied for the fall 2012 start suffolkc.c.c. nursing program. I have applied for the Ammerman day program. I was hoping to find some company on my journey to acceptance day(hopefully:)).

Hi everyone! I got accepted to the Fall 2012 Ammerman Evening program. I'm very excited and nervous!!! I'll be at St. Catherine's on Thursday evenings for clinicals.....anybody else? Congrats to all!!!!

My acceptance letter to was dated April 16th, but I just opened it today. I was in the hospital last week, and I was just going through all my mail today! I'm so excited, but I got accepted into the Ammerman Day program, even though I applied to the Evening program. I work FT during the day, so that program is impossible for me to complete. I don't know what to do. Any on else in this situation?? Any help would be appreciated!! Also, the $100 deposit is due on Monday, so I will have to pay in person. Why didn't I just open the mail sooner?!?

Welcome Lacar602! Congrats on your acceptance. Did you apply to DAYS as your second choice? If you only applied to EVE I doubt they would just place you into day unless you listed as a second choice.

I applied to Days as my second choice, because that's what the woman told me to do when I filled out the application. Do you think there's anyway it could be changed??

When you go there on Monday before you pay... I would stop at admissions and ask about it, it can't hurt. If you can't do days - that is your only chance. Sorry wish I could be of more help. GOOD LUCK!

Lacar602 - congratulations for being accepted! I agree with pbtsg. I would see if admissions can do anything. If evenings are your only choice then maybe they can put you on the waiting list for evenings. There will probably be spots opening up.

Hey pbtsg, I just checked my e-mail and found out our clinicals are the same day, awesome!!! I am soooo nervous. I have been in the medical field for 11 years,but have never had hands on patient care, I did medical billing. Anyone in the same boat?

We'll all be learning together :) jrosa827 - Think positively - we don't have any bad habits to break.... lol We can just learn it the way they want us to. I am both nervous and excited. My best friend is finishing up her first year. She is doing great, but says it is very intense. I can't wait for orientation to find out more :)
