  1. I'm enrolled in Stony Brook University's RN to BSN. I was able to get into the accelerated one year program, its full time and May to May.
  2. Hey everyone! One semester down! Is anyone starting the next semester with Med-Surg I? I haven't been in touch with my professors, but I'm so confused about our textbook! -Caitlin
  3. Thank you for your input! Esme12, I had previously looked on the website you had sent, but I have some trouble changing the information into PICO questions. & to Amy, I do like the idea of writing about strokes, I'm sure there is plenty info out there. I need to make up a question in which I compare one intervention with another, any suggestions? :)
  4. I am a brand new nursing student and one of my projects assigned over this semester is to write about an evidence based practice, with a presentation to follow. I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions. Because I am so new into the program, I'm not even sure what areas I would be interested in. (I am leaning towards anything neurological or maternity, but any ideas would be greatly appreciated!) Thanks!
  5. Thank you luv2bnurse! I hope I have everything all set up. I can't believe how fast the summer went but good luck to everyone in the program. Wish you all the best!
  6. Hey everyone! Classes are so close, I'm getting very nervous! I finished up all the necessary readings for the Clincal ACE days, but after I printed out the schedule for NUR101 I noticed the lecture reading assignments for seven chapters as well as ATI: Chapter 1! Did anyone read all these chapters?! I want to be prepared for the first day but I don't want to do what isn't necessary!
  7. Thank you so much! This thread really helps out a lot!
  8. Thank you Luv2bNurse! It seems mine is complete. Do we print it out each section for documentation that we deliver to the school?
  9. Hi everyone! I was wondering about the background check we had to obtain. After we sign up on the website, will the report be emailed to us? I did mine a while back and haven't received anything in the mail, so I wanted to see if anyone knew!
  10. You all have been so helpful, thank you! I'm planning on going to that store today to get what is needed! And to domia, I haven't heard about a dosage calc test on the first day, so I don't believe so....
  11. Ordered my books today too! Very excited to be able to look through them and get started. I'm having problems with my CPR cert though. It's expiration is up soon, not exactly sure when, but I might have to take a renewal class. Does anyone have any suggestions where I could do this?
  12. Okay thank you so much for the info! I'll try and get in touch with a friend who started the program last year to see what her uniform consisted of. :)
  13. Are our uniforms needed by the first day of clincals? When you say slack pants, what kind of color do they want? That's a great quote LOL. I guess it is good to reenforce the underwear to some girls, for some of us it's common sense though!
  14. Thank you for your reply. I am new to this so any advice in posting helps! I did get in touch and was able to patch things up, but I agree time to stay up to date and on top of everything from here on in!
  15. Okay, thank you so much! I have received papers in the mail regarding textbooks and assignments for the first day. I also heard from other students who were in the program previously that we are required to get white scrubs for clinicals, does this still hold true? Thank you for responding, helps me out a whole lot!
