SCCC 2011 Ammerman Day Nursing Program

Published

This thread was started for everyone who will be attending the 2011 SCCC Ammerman Campus Day RN program. I think it might be worth it to have a thread especially for us, so that we can keep in touch with our fellow students, talk about issues that come up in class and help each other out when necessary.

if you are reading this now, you have probably been accepted into the program... Congratulations

Let's work together so that we can be the best both as students and in our future careers.

I bought all of mine. I used half.com and amazon. Try searching on bigwords.com it compares hundreds of sellers online and lists by price. New. used and rentals are available.

I've already looked on Amazon to scope out the prices, but I will try the other two websites you mentioned as well. Thanks for posting!

I bought all of my textbooks, try chegg.com. I also bought a few at barnes and noble. They were cheaper than I expected and you can sometimes get good coupons that help with the price too. Pretty much done with the health forms too. In 10 days I get my second PPD and then I'm done! So happy to have all the requirements finished. Just started doing the readings that they gave us at orientation. I signed up for atitesting.com but did anyone receive the code yet? I think we need it to start doing Nurse Logic. Everyone enjoy the time we have off! lol I know I will.

Specializes in Geriatric, Homecare.

I bought all my books from textbooks.com.. Spent $162 inc shipping!! I bought used, but in good condition, older ed. books for recommended or optional resources books.. Whatever I can do save some

Hello,

Bought all my books right after orientation from amazon.

All 11 (required & recommend) totaled $473 & that's including shipping.

Good luck to all whose taking extra classes!

I'm @ 11 credits(part time)

I've finished all my co & pre-reqs, & decided to go ahead & get my associates in liberal arts.

I only need 2 more credits(eng & art) but scared that while taking my nursing classes I'll be over whelmed.

I bought all the books too, even the recommended ones. I'm fulltime. I'm taking sociology this semester to make myself fulltime. I already have my associates in liberal arts lol done need gyms or anything besides nursing classes, micro, and soc.

I'm sure you all received the e-mail about ATI testing.

Does anyone understand the ATI Testing program that we have to sign up for? At orientation I was under the impression that "Nurse Logic" was something we can access before we bought the program. All we had to do was create an account in order to access this. Does anyone else understand exactly how this program works? Do we have to buy the program first? It's not available for purchase till the 15th anyway.

Steen,

To be honest I haven't gone onto the ATI website yet but, that's how I understood it as well. Create the account and you will be able to access the Nurse Logic section. Then at some point you will have to pay for the use of the companies product.

yes, I created my account but it seems like we cannot access the Nurse Logic part until purchase.
