SCCC 2011 Ammerman Day Nursing Program

Published

This thread was started for everyone who will be attending the 2011 SCCC Ammerman Campus Day RN program. I think it might be worth it to have a thread especially for us, so that we can keep in touch with our fellow students, talk about issues that come up in class and help each other out when necessary.

if you are reading this now, you have probably been accepted into the program... Congratulations

:grpwlcm:

Let's work together so that we can be the best both as students and in our future careers.

HI! A big congratulations to EVERYONE! I still can't believe all the hard work paid off! Glad you started this thread. Thank u

Glad to see this thread. Thanks for starting it. Congrats to all. Looking forward to meeting you on the 6th.

I am so excited that it seems so unreal. I have been working hard to get to this point. as we all have been. Now the work will just get harder, but it is so worth it.

does anyone know if the cashier/registrar open on saturdays? probably not :sniff:

Great idea to start this. During the wait it was a great comfort to see that others were going through the same wait. It will be a great comfort to have future support from fellow students that are going through the same thing and maybe make things easier.

Hi everyone, I paid my deposit. Am I the only one that is confused about these health forms? Is there anything I need to turn in immediately, or am I ok until the physical is due, if I am currently a student there?

Btw, I was told today when I was there that next week a letter is going out that will say where the clinical facilities are for each section that we can register for.

I did register, but since I don't know where the clinical part is, I might end up changing it. I had already registered when I found out that a letter was going out with the clinical facilities next week, so instead of just dropping, I'll leave what I have and wait see if the clinical spot is convenient for me as well.

Hi Guys, Glad to see that I'm not the only one who is confused about this. I haven't had a chance to look over everything as well as I would like to but, I'll be at work tonight and if I get a chance, I'll try to go over all the paperwork thoroughly. So if I can make any sense out of it I'll post it online.

Has anyone figured if they are going to take any additional courses besides the 3 Nursing courses (101, 116 and 123)? The reason I ask is because they also show AandP I and PSY 101 as part of your first semester courseload, but of course we all already have those courses. I also registered for NUR 103 because I am hopeless when it comes to math and they say that the dosage calculation test is extremely important. If you fail, you can be dropped from the program.

I just paid my deposit and registered online. Heres my schedule as it stands now.

M - NUR 123 8-9:40 and 12-1:50

NUR 101 10-11:40

W - NUR 116 7:30-9:15

NUR 101 9:20-11 and 12:50-2:40

Th - NUR 103 1-2:50

F - NUR 101 8-2 Clinical

Talk to you tomorrow.

Go to the nursing dept. home page. you can find a list of clinical locations there. It tells you the class number and where that class does clinicals.

So Nur 103 is a class we can take our first semester? When do most take that class? I would like to take something else to make me fulltime, since I'm 1 credit short, but I don't want to be realllly short in another semester if I take Nur 103 now.
