This thread was started for everyone who will be attending the 2011 SCCC Ammerman Campus Day RN program. I think it might be worth it to have a thread especially for us, so that we can keep in touch with our fellow students, talk about issues that come up in class and help each other out when necessary.

Hi everyone! I made it into Ammerman day program!! I paid my deposit and made my schedule. I spoke with health services. Nothing is due right now. In June or July you have to get your physical, PPD Twice and bloodwork done. It's due in august. See you guys at orientation!

So Nur 103 is a class we can take our first semester? When do most take that class? I would like to take something else to make me fulltime, since I'm 1 credit short, but I don't want to be realllly short in another semester if I take Nur 103 now.

Yeah kjm, the system let me register for it so I don't think there is a problem. My course load turned out to be 13 credits. I also know somebody in their first year who also took it in their first semester.

Is anyone having problems reg to 123 every time I try it tells me I need my health certificate. I must be doing something wrong.

I didn't have problems with it saying that, but there are certain times that you can't register because they are hospital partnerships. Maybe that has something to do with it.

I'm going to try to go to the early orientation, as long as I have a sitter.

Congrats to everyone! I also got into the program! Can't wait to start. I paid my deposit and made my schedule. I guess I should have waited considering I do not know where clinical will be. Anyone know when we are supposed to get our uniform or do we get all of the important info at orientation on June 6th? I know our health forms aren't due until August 10th. I called the school and they said I would find out where to get the CPR certification at orientation too. On top of the three Nursing classes I am also taking Sociology so I'm full time- Anyone else taking any other classes? Did everyone take micro? I also need to take that and was wondering if anyone could recommend any professors! I know I'm all over the place but that's how I feel! hahah

Can't wait to meet everyone at orientation! :)

If you go to http://department.sunysuffolk.edu/Nursing/index_5100.asp It will give you all that info. It also has the info on where clinicals are by class.

Thanks Kjm84 you were right i was tring to sign up for one of those partnerships classes. I'm going to the 5:30 orientation. For micro I would recommend Prof. **** he gives classes in the eastern campus but with him there are no tricks he gives you exactly what you need for tests and quizzes, and he's not so anal about he unknown bacteria report.
