Santa Ana College - ADN Spring 2020

Published

Hello Future Nurses (and current nurses)! I wanted to start a thread for those applying to SAC's ADN program next month, and for those who've already gone through the process. How are you doing on your nursing journey?

For me, I've just finished my prerequisites at Ventura College (started Fall 2015 - YEESH) and moved to the OC. I'll be applying to SAC, Golden West, and Cypress. Anyone else applying to the other two schools?

I recently starting working as a CNA, new grad here. Hoping my experience will be beneficial for when I become a RN (of course it will). I'm on my third day, and already so humbled.

Please fill us in on your journey!

Hi there...I think it's just that competitive and I am also very disappointed. I am on the alternate list with 85.5 points. :(

I am sorry, it's such a bummer. This must be the most competitive semester yet. Are you still going to attend the orientation?

I’m sorry to hear about the alternates. I’m shocked you guys weren’t fully accepted. I applied with 82 points and I thought that was going to be enough but now I am not so confident. Still haven’t heard back yet.

Anyone else have any updates?

Haven’t heard either. Seems like everyone that got in or is an alternate already received their letters. I hope that’s not the case and that there is still good news on the way.
Hope dies last!

Just received my letter. I’m an alternate as well with 84.5 points!

If you dont mind me asking, what city are you located. I live in Ontario and I have not received anything. I applied with 83 points . Also, what number are you on the alternate list?

This is so nerve wracking! No letter yet!

I agree that this might be the most competitive semester yet. I am curious to know the cutoff points & other applicant statistics since that wasn't included in our alternate letters. Hopefully someone will post that ?

I think I probably will attend the info session. You never know what can happen over the next couple of months.

I got my acceptance letter on Tuesday 11/12 and I live in San Diego. I calculated 88.5 points. This is my 3rd time applying, and I finally got in! Each time I applied I did something different (became a CNA, got a job at a hospital, completed my degree, took Physiology, and took medical terminology) to earn more points. If you didn’t get accepted this time, don’t give up!

Hi, I also applied to Santa Ana College. I haven’t received my letter yet either. The mail already came today. ☹️ This is my second time applying to SAC. As another poster stated, it seems like the people who got in or got selected as an alternate already received their letter. I live in Whittier.

No letter yet. Any other updates?

For the ones that got accepted or are alternates, when do you have to respond by?

I was accepted a couple of days ago! I live in garden Grove. We have to respond by 11/20
