Santa Ana College - ADN Spring 2020

Published

Hello Future Nurses (and current nurses)! I wanted to start a thread for those applying to SAC's ADN program next month, and for those who've already gone through the process. How are you doing on your nursing journey?

For me, I've just finished my prerequisites at Ventura College (started Fall 2015 - YEESH) and moved to the OC. I'll be applying to SAC, Golden West, and Cypress. Anyone else applying to the other two schools?

I recently starting working as a CNA, new grad here. Hoping my experience will be beneficial for when I become a RN (of course it will). I'm on my third day, and already so humbled.

Please fill us in on your journey!

I believe I only included the proof of experience ? if unsure, I don’t think think it hurts to include the certification though!

Did you work in a hospital

Did they call your supervisor or work employment?

No, they didn’t. But you need a proof from your worker includes how many hours did you work.

I did, I worked there about a year and a half ago, what did your proof look like?

It is a stamped letter includes how many hours have you worked and what was your position and your duties in this job.

How would the letter be stamped

Your worker stamp!!

I do work in a hospital and they didn’t call, it was just a letter explaining my duties and date of hire and had the manager’s signature and contact information :)

Was it a letterhead?

Yes on letterhead!

Hi guys,

I am applying for the Spring 2021 cohort and have a question about the language fluency points. I took the entire language series at a university for my previous Bachelor's degree so I am wondering if this will count towards these points. Would they ask me to interview or test me on my fluency skills? It's been a while and I am quite rusty.

Specializes in RN.

Hey all! I’m a SAC nursing alumni. If anyone needs help I’m here to answer your questions. let me just begin by saying how AMAZING the SAC nursing program is! I had the most amazing experience there (with the exception of a few people LOL).
