Congrats! Are you transferring in to Delta or did you complete your pre-reqs there?
I did all of my math online at delta as well as nutrition. I went to delta back in 2011 then after deciding to go into nursing I went to MJC because I currently live in Patterson, but still took some classes at Delta. I’ll be moving back to Tracy so I am honestly hoping to get into Delta! What about? Did you take yours at delta? Nice to meet you by the way! ?
Nice to meet you too! Oh okay I see, that makes sense! I did almost all of my pre-reqs at Delta, I’ve been here since Spring 2018! Before that I did some non-science units out of state. Overall, I like delta. I’ve been a bit unhappy with some of their organization, but each school has its issues. Where else are you applying besides Delta? I applied to MJC and a few schools in Sacramento.
That’s awesome! I agree, every school has its downsides. I did also apply to MJC in the advanced placement pool since I will be applying as an LVN but I feel like Although delta seems a bit less organized, I love how they post dates for each step in the application process and they haven’t decreased their cohort sizes due to covid like MJC has.
Gotcha! I have quite a few friends in Deltas program and I hear mixed things. I also know that the dates posted are very much subject to change. Hopefully this semester they stick to the dates!! How many points will you be applying with? I have 87.5
Oh wow that’s so high! You definitely shouldn’t have any issue getting in this go around! I have 79 points at Delta. Won’t have my AS degree until after this semester so missed out on a few points there. Do you know if delta also does a percentage of their seats as a lottery like MJC does? MJC applicants are also very high this round it’s amazing.
Thank you! It is one of my top choices since it’s the closest to me, but I’ll be waiting to hear from friends who finish out their first semester. If they’re experience is positive overall, it will most likely lean me towards Delta if I get accepted! I know they are really picky about their applications and people get disqualified for little mistakes so we’ll need to all help each other with that!
Delta does 10% lottery and 90% points. I believe if you have 75 or above you should be pretty safe to get into the program. I have a friend who got offered Fast Track and accepted (Delta offers an accelerated option, 18 months instead of two years, to a number of the top students) and she had 75.5 points. So if things go the same as the Spring 2021 application we should both get in and maybe be offered Fast Track!

I am applying but I am lower in points, about 70. I had to retake physiology so it kind of hurt me. Did everyone see they posted the app dates?
Yes! I’ve heard the application itself is actually really simple and fast. It’s the supporting documents that take time. don't lose hope-70 points is still good! I have friends who got in with those points!

Hello,
I'm so glad I stumbled upon this thread because now I too am going to apply. I already applied to CCSF, Merritt College (Oakland), and Ohlone (Fremont). Most of the schools I applied are in the Bay Area but I'm actually from the 209. I took most of my classes at MJC, but the Fast Track program that BrookNursing mentioned really caught my eye. That would be awesome to get into and finish early. Please BrookNursing keep us updated on what your friends think of the instructors and the curriculum. I would love to know more about Delta's nursing program.
Also would love to know where they do clinicals.
