Has anyone applied for the program?

I scanned them first as pdf, then I uploaded them to magnus. Try it again.

Which one is it for?

ok, ladies and gents... earlier today i visited delta because of the nursing success office appointment we are supposed to have with them. everything was great, they gave a lot of important information regarding our success in the rn program. they also gave me an estimate on how much the books are going to be for this upcoming semester.

ati study books and tests only- $388

pharmacology book- approx. $100+

nursing fundamental bundle- approx. $201+

med-surg. bundle- approx. $237+

and other suggested books- $?

totaling approx. $600 dollars if bought directly at school new! the isbn numbers and info should be available the 15th of this month in the bookstore website. just thought this info would help others like it helped me.

Thanks for all the great info.

Hi guys!

I was in the SJDC ADN program, but unfortunately, due to personal reasons I left the program very early for Spring 2011 where I didn't even end up taking the final for ADN1.

Congrats & good luck to everybody in the nursing prog!

Thanks to Enfermera for the book cost information. Now, would you happen to know if that $600 a semester is pretty standard for the program? Or did they happen to tell you what the cost for books over the course of the 2 years is? I cant seem to find any of that information on Delta's webpage.

Actually you'll be using those books the whole two years. There are only two more textbooks you'll need for Maternity (second semesrer) and Psych (third semester), but those don't cost over $100 each.

Hi everyone,

The books cost me 1200 (800 at the bookstore and 400 for ATI) and I didn't buy either of the Medical Dictionaries or the medical terminology book since I have those already. It's good to know we only need 2 more books to purchase for our other semesters.

2 more weeks till the study class starts!!! I'm ready, I had a great summer!

Hope everyone had one too.

Hey, all -

Just stopping by this thread to wish you all a happy school year. I withdrew my name a few weeks ago because I got into my first choice school - LMC. I enjoyed attending the orientation and think SJDC is awesome! Just not an appealing commute for me, since I live in the Bay. Also, if anyone is interested, I have started a blog to chronicle the nursing school experience at LMC. You can PM me if you want the URL, especially if you have a blog of your own, as I would love to hear of your own experiences.

Wishing you all the best!

Congrats to getting in your first choice school:yeah: driving from the bay would have been a drag. You made an alternate very happy but we will miss ya since you have been with us from the beginning of this thread. Chime in from time to time and the best of luck to you!

Hi Everyone,

I just got an email last week stating I'm an alternate and was invited to submit my documentation. I am shocked to say the least because I received the "rejection" email a couple months back and my overall points were very low. Did anyone else receive an email last week? For everyone else, PLEASE give me some pointers on what I can do while I wait for the final email on 8/8. I already got some immunizations done and not sure what else I need to do!!!

Congrats! Do the immunizations and get your insurance from NSO. And get a hold of $$ for books. Good luck!

Thank you! Do you happen to have the list of immunizations required? I got a little done but want to get everything done ASAP.
