U.S.A. California

Has anyone applied for the program?

I am new to this site. Yes I have applied at Sj delta college for fall 2011. Delta takes long time to finalise scores. Let see what happens.

Dear nursetobe013,

I am also new to this site. Thanks for posting reply.

I am getting a little antsy because I've been rejected from multiple nursing programs.

I thought delta takes shorter time compared to other community colleges.

I also applied for San Mateo CC and Chabot CC back in Jan and Dec, but I will not hear from them until May.

Either way it'll be nice if we can hear back soon.

Best of luck to you :)

Hello! I have also applied to San Joaquin Delta for Fall 2011. Good luck to us all :)

Hello hijadecalifas!

Good luck to you too!

Thanks yhalseth!

Hi

I was reading some old threads. I am guessing that delta will let us know about final scoring somewhere in June.

Hi Yhalseth

Keep trying, Hope u will get in this time. I am not familiar with the criterion for other schools. It is tougher to get in some schools than other. I think GPA matters a lot plus your teas score too. That is definetly true for delta.

Did you take teas 4.0 or V???

My only choice is delta. I cannot afford to commute to other schools. I took teas 4.0 couple of months ago. It workerd out alright because delta is still accepting teas 4.0

Nursetobe013,

Thanks for your comment.

Yes, only thing I can do is to keep at it. Many people are in the same situation.

In December, I took TEAS 4.0, I hope I won't have to take it again.

I applied to Delta because we have to move to Brentwood at the end of this month. Other colleges are really far to commute.

I'm feeling a little more optimistic with Delta, because they look at your GPA, TEAS, and experience.

Hello!

I have applied, as well. My understanding (but I could be wrong) is that if you are requested to submit documentation at the end of this month, you are likely on the conditional acceptance or alternate list based on what I have heard from past students. Also, SJDC is super fast at notification in comparison to most other CCs. The prior threads are from people who applied in Spring, so I couldn't exactly say when we will know for sure, but I imagine it'll be in May like most schools.

Good luck to all!

Hi Yhalseth , NBB2013

It's so nice that I can talk to somebody. I think the waiting is going to be very stressful, and I am already feeling it. I am counting on my GPA and Teas score. I don't have any experience or clinical backgrounds or degrees. I know another language. Thats it.

NBB2013, I think you are right about documentation. Delta will ask for the documentation and compare with the information provided in online application.

I wanted to ask did you get an email right after you submitted your application (notification abt receiving application).

Dear NBB2013, nice to "meet" you, thank you for providing us the information. Best of luck!

nursetobe013,

It is so nice to be able to talk to other applicants.

There are a lot of unknowns and uncertainty that can cause stress, but it helps to know that you are not the only one.:)

If you have good GPA,TEAS, and a language, I believe that you have very good chance. If someone was able to score all points of all categories, she/he would be going to UCSF.

I've received a confirmation email from Delta right after I submitted online application.

Now I am getting together documents and transcripts in case I hear back at the end of this month.
