Anyone who is applying for the Spring 2015 ADN program at San Joaquin Delta College care to share info with one another? A thread hasn't started yet and the application is set to be opening on September 2. Does anyone know the point range cutoff from last semester? I hope this is the last application I have to submit... Good luck to everyone!!!
I applied for Spring of 2015. My overall score is not that great (59). I was surprised that I even got invited to submit documentation. 59 is pretty low compared to the others. It looks like they are accepting high 50s for the cut off. I'm not holding my breath with my score. Good luck to you. I know how you feel about submitting applications (time consuming and expensive)
Arc you check by going to Eservices and clicking on the tab programs on the top. Then click on the ARC nursing application and it will tell you your updated status. Your actual acceptance email will be emailed out to you (they won't send them out until late November). Deltas I believe will be sent through your delta email on November 3rd

Amerikangirl,
I agree with clueless. Consider re-taking the TEAS after doing some more preaparation. I found the study guide to be extermely helpful, more so than any of the online practice tests, though I did a few practice tests in the back of the study guide. I was then able to see specific areas where I made the most mistakes so i could focus on re-studying those areas.
I actually took a free online practice test a few months before studying for the test and failed it miserably. I was stressed out and thought that there was no way I could improve enough to pass, much less score high enough to get in the program. But by plugging away each and every day I was able to reach the score I wanted. You can, too.
You might not feel it is fair to have a system that gives class spaces to first time applicants over repeat applicants, but since that IS the system, do whatever you can do within the system to succeed. In your case, maintaining that high GPA with children at home is impressive, but now improving that TEAS score is your next hurdle.
Unless... you are fortunate enough to get a spot this year, in which case I hope I do, also, and we move forward together during these next few years.
I was looking over the Fall 2014 student handbook (it is in docushare) to get a feel for what will be expected should I make it on the upcoming November list. I would love to be able to take the BLS - peofessionals class with people heading to Delta. I'm even considering signing up before the list comes out. Has anyone looked into this yet?
