San Jacinto College ADN Fall 2009

U.S.A. Texas

Hi everyone. Im wondering if any of you are planning on applying to San Jac ADN program or are in the program?

Lets talk about it here

Specializes in Oncall Hospice RN.

The Health assessment packet should inlude a workbook. As far as getting a deal on tuition, I wouldn't hate you if you beat the price of $550. I feel like I've died and gone to Heaven with these tuition prices. At UHCL, 7 hrs would easily have been $900. So I refuse to complain about anything in this program since I feel like I'm getting a deal on the tuititon prices. I just hope the instructors are receiving a good chunk of the money.

I still have not been able to register because the counselor's office has not changed my major. I am listed as a continuing education student because of the CPR class. When I called yesterday they said they were going to change it but nothing has happened. This is getting frustrating.

Thank you! I got the workbook already... I just need to get some other few books... My tuition didn't even reach $400... I was so surprised and happy! lol

Oh I know the same thing happend to me... I went directly to talk to the counselor... I would advice you to do the same because I know how they are and if you don't go face to face they will blow you off... lol can you tell I have had bad experiences with them

I haven't tried to register yet, so I'm of no help to you guys there. I'm waiting for them to give us clinicals, because I have a feeling that if I register separately, it's going to charge me that 130 general service charge twice. That doesn't appeal to me in the least bit, especially when the clinical is 1 credit hour.

But anyway, my SOS is still showing me as being enrolled in Summer 2007, so who knows.

Okay I just checked and I was able to register, whew thats a relief. I was looking at i know we have to take two PE classes. I already took one online and it was a 3 credit class and I wanted to take another one online but didn't know if they would count towards our degree. It's easier for me to do them online since I have to work and go to school at the same time. What do yall think?

Oh man I should've waited to see when they were going to assign clinicals before registering because I don't want to pay that fee again either. That sucks, I just got anxious I guess.

is anyone reading the student handbook? lol that thing is long!

i didn't even try.

and when do yall recommend me take pe classes? if i'm working

and going to school, i wonder if i'll have time take one this coming semester?

or maybe.. a mini? i dont know when a mini is though.

Shana, I'm waiting until the winter or spring mini to take my last PE class.

Russell, I doubt they'll charge you another service fee and Eyvette makes it sound like we won't have our clinical schedule for another few weeks. Why don't you call admin to see if there's an extra charge when adding another class?

Pharmluv, congratulations on registering for class! I know it's a relief eventhough we're guaranteed our spots. Plus now you'll have all the orientation info.

I think I might on Monday.

Thanks meliss, what do yall think about the PE class you think the online classes will count? I got a letter in the mail today that said that if I don't register for 9 hours then I won't get my student loan so I need another class to take. :(

I went on blackboard and I don't see where are the orientation information is, where are you guys looking?
