San Jacinto College ADN Fall 2009

Published

Hi everyone. Im wondering if any of you are planning on applying to San Jac ADN program or are in the program?

Lets talk about it here

There's an online bookstore where you put in what semester you're going to take the classes in, then find the class, and it brings up what books the instructor wants you to buy.

Spoke too soon about the Dictionary/Terminology book. Just found it! Hooray, mini-victory! I think we have to buy the Board of Nurses book on the campus though, since it doesn't have any author or publisher identifying who actually made it.

ISBN-13: 978-0-7817-7797-1 (Dictionary/Terminology bundle)

Hopefully this will help us not overpay for books : D

yahhh i'm at the san jac online bookstore and it's telling me to type in the department, course, and section.. i dont know what all those are..because the nurse people haven't even registered us yet..so what website are you at??? ha

If you look in the catalog, it shows you the classes we'll be taking. The sections are all going to be the same regardless. So all you need, for example, is RNSG 1160. Don't worry about the section numbers, like 101,102 etc.

where's the catalog

There's the online one. If you want a paper one, it's 4 dollars I believe at the bookstore.

OMG!!! You mean even semester 1 will resemble the intensity of A&P II summer session. Well I might just have to settle for a few B's if that's the case. I ordered the pharmacology flash cards so I could get a head start for that class.

where does it say to get pharmacology flash cards??

Done!!!!!!!!!!!!! With A&pII!!! By the way Russell, you suck! Lol. Only cause im jealous that you have the next 6 weeks off. I uploaded a pic to walgreens.com and it only cost 21 cent to have it printed.

Yeah, that's what she was telling us. But she also said we would have a heads-up on the people who took it in a normal semester. Just because we're more used to seeing the class go by faster. I'll be happy when I have my diploma and a job, grades be darned.

Don't hate me! Please : D You'll be ready to school all of us when the nursing stuff rolls around.

I am so excited and cannot wait to get this stuff going. I've waited a year and a half to do this, and all I know is I'm ready!

I'm just trying to prepare myself for the infamous 2nd semester that presents us with the 2 most challenging courses: Med/Surg and Pharmacology (according to the nursing students I met in the May mini). They laughed when I asked them if those 2 courses were similar in level of difficulty to micro and A&PII.

Having worked as a teacher for 14 yrs, I'm not as anxious as you are to get back to work. And I don't know what you mean by "schooling all of you" because all of this medical terminology is foreign to me.

I know the terminology got me when I first started doing medical jobs. But when you're immersed in it, it becomes easier to understand and use it.

I can understand about not wanting to get back in it suddenly. I'm just ready to graduate. Really ready : D
