San Jacinto College ADN Fall 2009

Published

Hi everyone. Im wondering if any of you are planning on applying to San Jac ADN program or are in the program?

Lets talk about it here

Except for a certain 19 year old who has to go twice a week. We're all bummed for her. So far I know of one person who's also going to mine, and I'm going to try and find more tomorrow.

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle! GI JOE!

Are you ready for the test? I'm to the point that I would be happy with a "B" because I'm tired of studying.

Yeah, I'm at that point as well. I've been going over the cranial nerves because I've always had problems remembering what each one does (doesn't help that we have to know it for the stupid head-to-toe also). I figure it's multiple choice, and I've got a 50-50 shot of getting the right answer so, no need in stressing myself out when I know I can get an 80 and still be a nurse : )

Did you pay for your clinical class?

I don't know what the number for mine is. Probably will later today.

*Edit* Nevermind, didn't see the schedules. Duh x_x

Haha, you got Deja and Kelly. I'll be surprised if any learning gets done there. : p

Grades are up. I made a 74, feel like crying. A manly cry, but cry nonetheless. Class average was 79. Guess that'll be the last time they say anything about us doing good eh?

Surprisingly enough, I made an 88. The workbook questions would have helped me with 2 of the questions, but I still would have missed 4. I still think that question about head and neck exam should have been deleted considering the more important info that we could have been tested over.

Grats to you. I've still got a B so I'm alright with my grade. Just kind of shocking considering I rarely make C's. Probably what I needed though; I think I was getting lazy with this class.

Well I guess the honeymoon is over in this class. And to think that this semester is the easiest of them all.

It probably wouldn't hurt to remind myself of that every day. Also, do you feel as unprepared to do a head-to-toe as I feel? I've done one in my EMT stuff, but it was a lazy head-to-toe. Definitely not as indepth as they want us to go. I've been told we can pass doing the minimum (which is on that paper), but if you miss any of that. . .

Bleh. Time to study for Foundations. Hard to concentrate with that grade hovering over me though : /

I know what you mean about being disappointed. I'm so use to having a study guide to prepare for a test. Those questions were all over the place. I need to start working on MNL. And no I'm definitely not ready for the head to toe assess.

I made a 90, which I must say im surprised seeing as I only started really studying last night and this morning before the test....yay!!!! Just did the my nursing lab and I hate those they get on my nerves....gotta start the math for meds and med term tho. So much to do. Happy about my clinicals tho, got clear lake regional..but two days a week :( ......It's going to be a jam packed 8 weeks for me...at least the friday and saturday clinicals you don't have to be at school and only have to go pick a patient once....o well gotta sacrifice.
