San Francisco State University (SFSU) Spring 2025 BSN Program

Hello everyone, I wanted to make a forum for us applying to SFSU's Spring 2025 cohort for the BSN program to hopefully discuss the application and maybe some other questions we have. It might be helpful for us and future applicants as well!

Hi! Has anyone else been accepted to EB and SF both but is planning to attend sfsu instead?
 

SFSU is my first choice, but tomorrow is the deadline for accepting eb's offer, but after all, sf's offer is from its nursing department, not a formal offer from the school. So, I'm now very anxious whether to accept eb's offer first, wait until I receive sf's formal offer and then tell eb not to go, or just reject eb's offer now. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Hey! I definitely would accept EB's offer and then when you receive SF's acceptance I would suggest you tell EB you won't be attending. That way you know you have a spot secured and won't have to worry as much.

Thanks for the advise, this way definitely makes sure I have a spot. I'm just a bit worried that if I ask EB to cancel my enrollment later, it'll be a hassle, especially if it conflicts with accepting SF's offer bc if I accept EB's offer I need to accept it through eb school's website (student login) and also cal apply website too!

I don't think it will be because they have students do this a lot because of the different deadlines, especially with Sacramento and Chico decisions not coming out till later in November.

I haven't received anything yet but I just added the SFSU to the FASFA form for this year. I've only got the initial acceptance email not even the official admissions offer from the admissions office.

I got into both as well, but will be attending SF State! I accepted EB just to make sure I have a safe spot until we get the official letter. I did have to pay the $110 to accept EB which I don't think we can refund after.

She got the packet before they got accepted, around early October

don't count yourself out until you get an official denial letter! My friends in previous sfsu cohorts told me that acceptances came at different times for everyone. My girlfriend didn't get her acceptance until late November while some of her friends got them early November.

Same. It's so strange that denials haven't gone out... I'm just ready to rip the bandaid off and move forward but it's so hard to do that without the official letter.
