San Francisco State University (SFSU) BSN Program

U.S.A. California

Has anyone gotten a response from the SFSU BSN Program? I emailed someone a while ago and they said it would be rolling around sometime between April and May (how vague :zzzzz). I am just a nervous wreck as everyone else waiting for their ACCEPTANCES (positive thinking!). I think I'm going insane checking the website once or twice a day :banghead:. I've read somewhere around this forum that people have already been admitted or denied into the MSN program and the Accelerated BSN @ the Canada branch, but I applied at the main campus.

Here's hoping and praying... :nurse:

I am in the same boat as you. They accepted me and changed my major to Recreation. I called the nursing department and was told to wait for another two weeks before loosing all hopes. I wish you the best. lets keep our fingers crossed.

Hi! I haven't received anything in the mail (I am overseas and all mail has been halted if coming from the States due to the volcano in Iceland) but my status changed on the Admission Status website to accepted. My intent to register is there now, but I was accepted as a Bio major (not nursing)...I emailed the school of nursing and they said that I was waitlisted. Now I am not sure if I am supposed to declare my intent as a Bio major or just wait....Kahmi, it's good to know we still have hope! :I

I havent received anything from the nursing department either even though I was confirmed that I got accepted and my status is still listed as Nursing (Sequoia Hosp Non-RN). I am sooo confused right now.

I am still waiting for my letter. Even though all the BSN letters were supposed to be sent out by friday they are still sending them out and the lady couldn't tell me when they would be done. Sooo frustrating.

Just got an E-mail saying that I wasn't accepted to SFSU's nursing program. It said that they only accepted 15% of applicants, some were applying for their 2nd or 3rd times and they said that healthcare experience was a key factor to being accepted (I'm assuming this means paid work as opposed to volunteer experience). I did, however, get accepted to SFSU as a Physiology major.

Congratulation MJ415! I just want to know what Supplemental criteria you fulfilled. my status just changed and my primary major changed to Recreation Therapy. I haven't received a mail yet. Am so worried, don't know if am in or out. Once again congratulation and i wish you the best in your studies.

Thanks Kahmi,

The only supplemental criteria that I'm sure I fulfilled was work experience as a an EMT for 2+ years.

Anyone else have their intent to register loaded yet? I have emailed the woman who told me I was on the waitlist and she is out of the office for a bit and the other POC has not gotten back to me yet, nor has my admissions counselor. I know I am waitlisted for the Sequoia program, but I have been admitted as a Bio major in the meantime. I don't know if I should declare my intent to register or wait for the intent to register to pass to see if I get a seat in nursing, or if declaring as a bio major will void my waitlist spot....

Anyone in the same boat????

How are some people finding out their status by email?? All they told me in my email was the letters are on their way...

I was under the impression that they didn't send out any E-mails either. I E-mailed the nursing dept. on Monday because I was concerned that I hadn't heard anything and they E-mailed me back the next day saying that I should hear from them shortly and that same day I received a rejection E-mail. Maybe they are trying to get the rest of them out as soon as possible because they said they would have them out by 4/16.

I got my letter for acceptance for Fall 2010! I am flying right now~!

I got my acceptance letter in the mail last week. Congratulations to all of those who are accepted or on the waiting list. And keep your fingers crossed because I am trying to decide between San Francisco's program and CSU Fresno. Anyone else trying to decide between programs??? Or is there anyone admitted from out of the area?

I live in Germany but I am a California resident. Haven't been admitted yet but I am on the waitlist. It would be great if you took Fresno Superkool, then maybe I could have your slot. ;)

Congrats on getting into both schools by the way! :)

How would compare the SFSU -Canada program to CSU- East Bay?
