Hi, Just found this thread. Good to know I'm not the only one on edge looking for a job. It's been a month since passing NCLEX and about 4 since graduating. Since then I have been applying like crazy. After applying and sending in my packet to CHLA I got a phone call from another children's hospital for an interview. Well it has been 2 weeks ago that I interviewed for a NICU position and I still have not heard if I got the position or not. So I guess I will have to keep on waiting. I wish I got a phone call saying one way or the other.

I'm finishing up my last semester and looking at New grad programs...The UCLA new grad app needs letters of recommendation. Can anyone tell me what needs to be included in this recommendation. I have clinical instructors who are willing to write one for me but what do I tell them to include. Is it suppose to have stuff like work-ethic, character, skills??

My overall GPA is 3.5. Is anyone from out of state?

Hey Turtlelittle did you get in to fresno's BSN?? I am still trying to sort through the cost of living in San Francisco. Too bad we couldn't just switch our living arrangements because I live 3 miles from Fresno State. let me know if you are planning on going in the fall.

I recieved two acceptance letters from CSU Fresno. One was just for regular addmitance and the other was from the nursing department. The letter said something like this: Congratulations! You have been selected for Fall 2010 entry into our Baccalaureate Nursing Program at California State University, Fresno...... I don't recall anything about a prenursing major. Have you checked online to see what your status is in the program. follow the link I sent in my prior post.

Hey lifeafter40, did you ever get answers to your questions and did you decide on the Nurse candidate program. I am looking into but I seem to get the run around from my local recruiting office.

I got my acceptance letter in the mail last week. Congratulations to all of those who are accepted or on the waiting list. And keep your fingers crossed because I am trying to decide between San Francisco's program and CSU Fresno. Anyone else trying to decide between programs??? Or is there anyone admitted from out of the area?

Hey Solidus, I was just wondering if you did end up applying to both Fresno State and San Francisco State? I just found out that I got accepted to both programs and I am not sure which one I should go to. I live in Fresno and it probably would be economically wiser for me to stay put (plus my Dad wants me to stay close to home) but I really want to leave... I tried to figure out which one is a better program overall but San Francisco doesn't have much info on their program. I probably could stay in Fresno but another years at home...Yikes!

I know what you mean RNTB 2012, I got waitlisted too. Luckily, I have been accepted to another school. UIC was my first choice. However, I am in California and the cost for out-of-state tuition would be immense. Let me know if you get a call. Good luck
