San Francisco State University (SFSU) BSN Program

Has anyone gotten a response from the SFSU BSN Program? I emailed someone a while ago and they said it would be rolling around sometime between April and May (how vague :zzzzz). I am just a nervous wreck as everyone else waiting for their ACCEPTANCES (positive thinking!). I think I'm going insane checking the website once or twice a day :banghead:. I've read somewhere around this forum that people have already been admitted or denied into the MSN program and the Accelerated BSN @ the Canada branch, but I applied at the main campus.

Yes, she is very nice and yes she would answer your questions via phone. I called and asked her about my status, too. I also got an email saying the same thing as she told you. But I wanted someone to confirmed my status. So I kept calling untill she answered the phone. I dont like to leave a message cuz that means I have to wait for the answer. So keep calling her until she answers the phone, most of the time she's not available.

Ya, my last name starts with "A" and i have been under review since Feb 10, so perhaps I'm on the bottom of the pile haha...this is such a tease!

My last name starts with an H....I had to finish one last class for my critical thinking general ed. requirement...it ended 22 March and I requested the transcript be rushed to SFSU 2 days later. I couldn't figure out why it has been almost 3 weeks and it still wasn't updated on my SFSU admission status so I called my school to see where my transcript was. Turns out they never ordered it (I was charged for it though)...I am seeing colors I am so angry! I hope this is not holding up my admission. It wasn't a prereq. for nursing but I don't know. I had to re-order another transcript and they said it should be there tomorrow. Please can I catch a break?! :(

Hello guys, my status for SFSU has been under rewiev since Jan. @6. I dont know what to think of right now and i have not received any mail. Am reall scared!

Me too...I did apply to one other school but they made me apply one semester earlier than I wanted to attend so I figured that I could just defer if I was accepted until the fall. They said I can't defer and I am military so the military won't release me for a summer start. So now it is either SFSU or nothing. I am so sad and scared but since I have only taken 1 chem class my options of where I could apply were slim....

kynchanted- I still have 2 courses in progress for my GE. I dont think it's a part of their consideration into the program. I was actually late on my transcripts. The SFSU called me to turn them in and I said I couldnt cuz it was too late. So they told me that they already ordered the transcripts to be sent directly from schools. They did everything for me. I dont know what to tell you. I guess I am just so lucky. I wish you guys best of luck!!

Well I found out my admission status from that lady (thanks for the tip Nancy)...I am on the wait list. She was nice enough to even attach my letter than was sent out on 22 March. They said they only have 40 slots and over 200 applicants. We'll see what happens....

Hello Nancy, congratulation. Please if i may ask,what is your overall GPA and Prereqs GPA, and how many optional criteria did you have? Am so happy for you. I have not heard any thing from the school and my status is under review. Kudos to you!!:yeah:

Hi Kahmi,

Thank you!!! My overall GPA (as stated in my sfsu status) is 3.66 but in my transcript is 3.71. My prereqs gpa is 3.8 or 3.9 I dont remember. I have 2/3 supplemental criteria fullfilled, 3/3 fullfilled if they count my volunteer experience at San Mateo Medical Center as my health related work but I am not sure on this one.

Again, you can call that lady to ask about your status. I wish you best of luck!!!

Hey guys, so kynchanted I'm on the wait list too i called that lady n she was really nice. She said they cant tell us what number on the wait list we r, but that there are 40 spots for the program and about 25 of us are waitlisted, n they just go in their secret order...she also said that in past years 22 of the waitlist people got in, but in one year only 5 waitlist people got in, so not to hold ur breath. Anyway congrats to all those who got in! (But hopefully some of u get into ur other picks so me and kynchanted can steal ur spot ;) )
