Hello everyone! I am planning to apply to the nursing program at San Diego City College (SDCC) this year. I did not find a board for this topic, probably because it's still early in 2019, but I like what others have done for previous application periods. I am starting CNA training on the 25th with the American Red Cross. That program ends in early April so I will have plenty of time to study for and take the TEAS. Has anyone has had experience with the American Red Cross CNA program? Has anyone else applying to SDCC had their transcripts evaluated? Also, when will you do your physical for the program?

I was thinking about about turning in the app next week, before I got my acceptance here at City. I have friends who go there and they said maybe Late May to June we'd find out if we were accepted. In terms of price, its pretty much the same. Would the SWC schedule be better for you? I am just trying to weigh in the pros and cons of applying somewhere else if I've already been accepted here. I live 7-10 minutes from SWC too ?
Congrats to everyone who has been accepted!

But primarily , I’m gunning for SWC because the LVN transition starts in August as opposed to waiting to start in Spring 2021 at City??♀️
I thought the lvn to Rn transition class started this spring for city?! I’m confused?

What exactly did you guys do? Like what you should do first or last, things that you should have before applying etc
I’m thinking of applying this year.
