Saline flushes causing nausea for my patients

I was hospitalized over the summer with pneumonia and let me tell you, I could taste the saline when they used the flushes. It was weird and not something I experienced before.

Do you have a study group? I was blessed to have awesome study groups for Anatomy, Physiology and Micro. We are all busy going to school full time and most of us working part time, so we didn't have a lot of time to meet up but we did constantly quiz each other via text etc. Any little bit helps.

TEAS Tests Tips and Helpful Resources!!!! 08/31/19

The biggest thing I have to say is, I was so focused on the Math and trying to remember the formulas and setting things up that I ignored that fact that there were 4 possible answers on the screen. Only one of those 4 is correct. Once I realized that instead of trying to remember how to set up the problem I plugged and played with the numbers I had for many of them. I only had 1 question that it asked about the area of part of a basketball court (with the half circle). I got a 93 on the math portion of the TEAS

    Please help 😩

Plan to work hard. It's a lot of information and if you don't keep up with the reading you will struggle. The other thing that really helped me was having a great study group. We all had strengths and weaknesses that complimented each other so it worked well. We were all very busy and many of our study sessions were group text quizzes. I took Microbiology, physiology and spanish (i have no spanish speaking background) all in the same semester and ended up passing with all A's (I'm also a single mom, working part time, and my son has educational issues so it was stressful helping with his homework and then doing mine). I don't say this to toot my horn. I say this because it seemed impossible to do all of that and do well especially since every single nursing program out here tells you not to take them prereqs together. The study groups I had for physio and micro were amazing and really helped me succeed.

Did you get in touch with them and get the information you needed? Not sure if you already have this but below is the informational packet and near the end is the scoring criteria they use. http://www.sdcity.edu/academics/schools-programs/math-engin-tech/nursing/docs/nursing_education_general_info.pdf
