I haven't yet seen a forum for this cohort yet and I wanted to start one! Applications are due soon and wanted to see how others are going along with the process and see if theres any advice or recommendations that anyone has. This could be with the application, interviews, pre-reqs, HESI, etc. I appreciate those who comment and add to the forum!
A little about me: originally from NYC moved out to Oakland in 2015. I worked in Urgent Care, and have volunteer work during Covid-19. Finishing up a few pre-reqs now and hopefully will have them done in time for the application due date Dec 1st. Let me know if there are any other questions for me, I am very interested to see the backgrounds of others who are also applying, its a stressful but exciting time for everyone! ?

I made a huge mistake and didn't add my pending physiology class for Fall 2020 to my application. Is there any one in admissions we contact?
Hey! I had something weird happen to my resume when I uploaded and submitted it, and I emailed [[email protected]] with my resume attached and I got an answer back pretty quickly. Maybe try that? Hopefully that works!
Did anyone else use the extension and submit their HESI/TEAS score after the deadline to the email they gave us? Just curious if they gave anyone a confirmation email!

Hey! I saw these directions and they didn't mention a confirmation email, but Im sure if you didn't get a bounce back email, they are probably going through the emails before/after the Christmas holiday. Hopefully you do get one to ease your mind haha
Im in a similar situation as you though, I just received my Fall 2020 grades and wanted to share them with the admissions team, but I don't think that email was the right place. I sent it to the admission email on the website, so hopefully they take it into consideration. I saw post admissions directions for these grades, but I don't think thats the boat Im in.

I just got it this afternoon around 12:50pm, it mentioned that they will still look at my application because it was submitted before the deadline, but that they cannot look at it until the NursingCas has verified it. It was definitely an automated email, so maybe if you didn't get it, you are okay!
I went into my NursingCas account and opened my application and indeed noticed that the transcripts were not verified. I called them and the guy was really nice and apologetic and mentioned that they try to update their automatic systems to copy and verify the transcripts when they look correct, but due to one of my transcripts having multiple schools on it, the system didn't catch it I guess. He said he is going to have someone complete the copy by Wednesday and then complete the verification by Monday. I forwarded and followed up the email with SMU to confirm that this is being worked on and that if there is no resolve by the tenth (Monday) I will follow up with NursingCas again.
It ended up being a NursingCas issue, but I needed to take the initiative to fix it. If you're unsure about the verification of your transcript, I suggest taking a quick look to see, and if it's not verified, give the NursingCas a call and ask them to verify the transcript/application so SMU can take a look at it.
All in all it was a quick fix, but it was definitely anxiety inducing haha
