Hey All
I haven't yet seen a forum for this cohort yet and I wanted to start one! Applications are due soon and wanted to see how others are going along with the process and see if theres any advice or recommendations that anyone has. This could be with the application, interviews, pre-reqs, HESI, etc. I appreciate those who comment and add to the forum!
A little about me: originally from NYC moved out to Oakland in 2015. I worked in Urgent Care, and have volunteer work during Covid-19. Finishing up a few pre-reqs now and hopefully will have them done in time for the application due date Dec 1st. Let me know if there are any other questions for me, I am very interested to see the backgrounds of others who are also applying, its a stressful but exciting time for everyone! ?
P.S. if there is a forum for the Fall 2021 ELMSN program please link it!
hello all! I am wondering if anyone has insight as to the exact deadline our references have to upload their letters of recommendation to the system in nursingCAS? This is my first nursingCAS application, so I'm a little confused. Do they have to upload their reference letters by the Dec 1st 8:59 PM deadline or do they have time after?
Trying to give my references breathing room this week if it exists ? they are full-time healthcare workers during a pandemic, and we're all of course getting slammed.

I'm wondering the same too! I checked the SMU website and it doesn't give any information. Schools normally give around 1-2 weeks after apps are submitted for LOR's but not sure if this is the case for SMU.
Wishing everyone the best as the application deadline approaches! ☺️❤️

Hi! I’m going to assume everything is due on 12/1/20. Otherwise, I would call NursingCAS Customer Service and get that clarified. I have one recommendation letter done, and my professor from CSUEB confirmed she will be sending her letter by tonight. Good luck to us all!

It was a stressful beginning but the examity support line and my proctor were very patient and helped me troubleshoot everything. ? Aside from that, the test itself was fine! Good luck!!
Yeah, I had a stressful situation with examity, it ended up okay, but a little nerve-racking. Just for clarification: we do have to submit all of our scores but they will be looking at our highest score in each subject, regardless of which attempt it was, correct? So like if my first attempt in Math I got an 80 and in A&P I got an 85, but in my second attempt in Math got an 85, but then A&P got a 80, they will look at my Math score of 85 and my A&P score of 85, right?
Crunch time guys!! We got this!

Hi! Your references have until 12/08 to upload their LOR ?
is anyone else a UC graduate? I never had to take an English Literature course, and I'm realizing now I may have to take that as a pre-req if none of the other courses are satisfactory. I'm so confused it's a pre-req but not so common that I had to have taken it to graduate a UC... ?
.. just things I realized the day the application is due!!

When I contacted the admission counselors about this (bc I was confused too LOL) it looks like any Eng Crit Thinking class could be used for the pre-req and I needed to complete one to graduate at UCI. Maybe you can check the link to see if they already have a class listed to cover the pre-req:

Hey! So I had this issue too and I didn't go to a UC school. I was able to take a placement exam before college and I placed out of the first english composition class, and instead placed into english lit. Going through the course catalog made me realized I had to take english comp (because I didn't receive credit, I just placed out of the course. I had that confirmed by the admissions counselor, I hope this also helps!
