I didn't see a thread for the SMU absn Spring 2021 cohort so I just wanted to start one!

I'm currently in the process of applying right now and working on my personal statements!

No way! I made it past the first round for UCD too. Currently working on my essays for the grad app. Have you finished yours? 

I was about to start studying for the HESI to take it before the 12/1 deadline but looking at the stats from people who didn't get in, who are more than qualified, I think I'd rather take my time to study for the HESI, get more volunteer hours and not rush my references LOL. I feel bad asking them to do it within 3 weeks and with Thanksgiving coming up.

Yeah, I took my original essay and split it into two and elaborated more on it. I'm just trying to take a step away from it and come back maybe this weekend to see if I can get fresh eyes before I submit. 

Agreed on the 12/1 deadline too. It's such a short turn around for the references. Hopefully we'll both get into UCD and meet there! ?

That's exactly what I did! I have to say the prompt for the first essay has like 5 different prompts within it on top of asking what faculty we want to work with. A lot going on haha. And I hope that's the case! ?

Hi all. I received an email today at 3:33 pm stating that I'm waitlisted 18 out of 30, which seems pretty far down the list so I doubt a spot would open up for me. 

Also for those wondering my portal still says under review.
