Hello!

I didn't see a thread for the SMU absn Spring 2021 cohort so I just wanted to start one!

I'm currently in the process of applying right now and working on my personal statements!

Yes, I think the timeline is different too. And it seems they have different staff for each program to review.

I just emailed the admissions counselor for ABSN. He said w/n two weeks! Hopefully before Election Day. I’ve been keeping this on a down low at my current jobs and feel bad for getting trained so much to potentially quit haha.

Did he specifically say before Election Day? That's more than 2 weeks LOL. You are correct it is hard to plan for the future without knowing if we will be in this program in less than 3 months or not haha. OMG we could be in school in less than 3 months! What! ?

Also in previous intakes it seems they let applicants know over the course of few days

I understand the anxiety to finally get admissions decisions but this thread itself is stressing even ME TF out (and I don't get stressed out easily)! I can only imagine how stressful it is for their admissions office and for the app reviewers having to not only review but constantly answer the same email over & over from diff ppl...

Well, yall can stress out if u want to but I'm gonna go ahead & just apply for the December 1st deadline for the Summer 2021. I refuse to blow up somebody's email asking when decisions will be going out for a cohort that prob will be harder to get in because increase # of apps & bcuz of them having to delay cohorts (especially when COVID-19 is the reason...c'mon EVERYONE keep perspective...some ppl have died and/or lost their livelihood & we're on here fuming and stressing over a delay in admissions decisions).

OK....wow, I never "bashed" anyone or said anyone was less than anyone ? didn't realize so many folks would take it so personal when I was just making a general statement of how bombarding admissions w/ emails prob won't make anything happen any faster and just seems a little entitled to me personally. That's just me though...

Jan 2021 would be nice, but here's hoping for April, May or June 2021???

 Who said I am stressing? Im not stressed at all. Everyone is responsible for their own wellbeing so if this is  thread is stressing you out so much, why not distance yourself?
