Hello!

I didn't see a thread for the SMU absn Spring 2021 cohort so I just wanted to start one!

I'm currently in the process of applying right now and working on my personal statements!

Hope you are all staying safe during this crazy time!

try this...go to the top right and click sign up, with the email for nursingcas and the email smu has when they gave you your prelim review, then click checklist at the top left to check status

Oh actually it was for the application prior to 5/1 deadline. 5/1 deadline starts in January and 7/1 deadline starts in April, I believe :).

The 5/1 and 7/1 deadlines are both starting on January '21. 

The ones prior to that were delayed but are not starting with the January '21 cohort.

Oh shoot, so did I apply twice for no reason??? LOL .-.

I don’t understand if that was the case, why did they have two deadlines then? Why not just one.

I think they may have decided to push back the Summer cohort and combine the 5/1 and 7/1 deadlines after the 5/1 deadline had already passed? 

If you had any in progress classes at the time of the 5/1 deadline that had final grades for the 7/1 deadline then it definitely wasn't a complete waste!

They were not planning on delaying the Summer April/June 2020 cohorts that's why they originally had two deadlines. But since they were delayed they could not start the fall November start date cohort and now they are starting it in January. I don't think is for no reason because they'll take a look at both applications and see what improvements you made and that you really want to be in their program since you applied twice. So you should be fine.

Does anyone know what TEAS exam we need to take? Can it be the remote proctored or does it need to be taken at a PSI center?

In an info session they said it can be remote proctored due to COVID.
