Samuel Merritt Spring 2017 ABSN

Hello! I just wanted to make a thread specifically for those who are applying to the Samuel Merritt ABSN for a spring 2017 start. I'm applying to start in April 2017. It's the only program I'm applying to, as I can't afford more than a year without an income and I really want a BSN and not an MSN at this time. I'm done with my application, just waiting for nursing CAS to verify all my transcripts before I click submit! Currently working full time and taking my last 3 pre recs online. What about you?

Nothing. It HAS to be next week right? I can't imagine waiting 2 more weeks, lol.

I completely know how you feel! I've been planning my life for months as if I'm goinng... even my wedding is planned for late June 2018 thinking that it is right after I graduate. I hope I don't get let down!

So...kind of weird. But I was just checking my application on NursingCAS, and it says the deadline is 3/01/2017. So that means they changed the deadline from 12/01 to 3/01? That's pretty far to change the deadline.

And I'm also reading an updated page on samuel merritts website saying that the summer application deadline of December 1st, you'll get your admission notification in March or April. That just seems wrong considering the start date of the programs... Also, I can't find that deadline change but I wonder what that means? That really is a far change

Yea if you sign into NursingCAS and click Submit Application- it will show when you submitted your app for the Samuel Merritt ABSN. Next to ABSN it says Deadline 3/01/2017. I know a little bit up this thread it says they originally changed the deadline to Jan 15 or something. I guess it just means they wanted more applicants. But hopefully it doesn't change when we find out since we applied a while ago. I looked back in this thread to a few years ago, and people didn't find out until end of March or something. Hopefully that's not the case this year.

Guyyyyys. As you know, I am super anxious. I emailed my admissions counselor for the first time regarding hearing back... and she said the following: "Hopefully this week was the last information I was told."

Please let it be true! I'm going out of the country for vacation on Friday and it would be a perfect way to celebrate (or cry and attempt to forget about the reality of getting denied lol)
