Samuel Merritt Spring 2017 ABSN

Hello! I just wanted to make a thread specifically for those who are applying to the Samuel Merritt ABSN for a spring 2017 start. I'm applying to start in April 2017. It's the only program I'm applying to, as I can't afford more than a year without an income and I really want a BSN and not an MSN at this time. I'm done with my application, just waiting for nursing CAS to verify all my transcripts before I click submit! Currently working full time and taking my last 3 pre recs online. What about you?

That is ridiculous to hear in April for a program that starts in April!!

Maybe April for May and June start and March for the April start? Let's hope we are alllllll lucky and find out in a couple weeks!

Hey guys! I just found this thread. I also applied for the ABSN (april 1st choice and june 2nd choice)... I couldn't wait any longer and I emailed Derric and he said that decisions are still being sent out. I was reading on SMU website that registration for the april cohort begins march 6th. So we should know soon right?!?!

Wait, so does that mean they already starting sending out some decisions, and none of us have heard yet? Or they haven't started yet? Eek!

I hope we find out soon. That's kind of weird he said their still sending out decisions and none of us have received anything. Well maybe the emails are on their way.

I asked SMU today and was told decisions are still being made and will be sent out in the next few weeks.

I know someone at Samuel Merritt now in the ABSN program who started April 2016 and said there is only 17 people in her cohort! I was hoping that meant that not that many people apply for the April start and we will all get in :)
