Hi all,

Applications are due just around the corner, and I was just wondering if anyone else has started the application process yet.

It would be good to hear back from others who are going through the same process!

Has anyone received an interview for the Case Management program?

I got an early admit today :) I am wishing everyone the best of luck !!!

w00t! That's wonderful news, Sahar! Best of luck to you too!

Has anyone received an interview for the Case Management program?

Sadly, no, and I'm so keeping my fingers crossed! I'm in limbo between my application being complete and NursingCAS calculating my GPA. Not sure if anyone's been able to look at it.

How about you? I assume you've applied, but where are you in the process? LMK when you get a chance.

I'm in the same place as you! I'm anxiously checking everyday for when my GPA will be calculated by NursingCAS. I submitted on 2/14 and it was completed 2/28.

I also received that email from Samuel Merritt about the extra space they have and ended up quickly applying to the ABSN program just in case. Did you hear anything back after you e-mailed them about your GPA still being calculated?

@lele07 - I just had a question...how did you go about applying for the ABSN program? Did you just call them or email them? I originally applied only to the ELMSN-FNP track but I think I should also apply for the CM track as well, just in case. About your GPA calculations on NursingCAS, I'm sure they'll be up soon. My completion date was 1/24 and my GPA was calculated by monday (2/14).

Hey Stifffuny,

I had to fill out a whole new application for the ABSN program with the link they gave in the email. I emailed a counselor saying I had recently applied to Samuel Merritt (ELMSN) so my Letters of Rec should be there and they emailed me saying they put my letters in a folder for the admissions counselor to find when they receive my application. I just sent my application packets today for the Summer 2011 and Fall 2011 programs, so hopefully I get into the CM program or one of the ABSN ones!

Anyways, good luck to you!

Thanks rosepetalss! And Congrats sahar! I'm very much looking forward to my interview. Sahar, what attire is most appropriate for the interview? Suit? Business casual? I haven't gotten my email yet with details about the interview so I'm feeling very in the dark. Also, I've tried to find more info on what the schedule of the program is...overall length of program, is it full time for the entire length, any possibility of working at any point during the few years, etc. Does anyone have more details than I do? Thanks everyone!

i would say professional, but business casual. They focus more on your personality than that though. It a very relaxed atmosphere. They are SOOO nice

Sahar--thanks for the info and a big congratulations on your acceptance. Can't wait until tuesday!

Awesome, Sarah. That's great news! :)

Still nothing from a GPA standpoint, but if you had a complete date of 1/25, then I shouldn't be too far behind -- maybe next week. I basically check 2x a day: am & pm.

Interestingly enough, I got an email last night from the Dir. of Admissions noting that they are still accepting applications for Case Management for Fall. Of course, you can bet I responded (albeit professionally) that I'm in the system awaiting GPA calculation. Can you tell I'd like to attend SMU? :)

Fingers still crossed for you!

K

Thanks K! I am worried because I haven't been receiving any of these e-mails people are talking about - and most of all I would like an e-mail for an interview :) So much anxiousness! I love reading all the posts on here though. Hope your GPA gets calculated soon!!

I got an early admit today :) I am wishing everyone the best of luck !!!

Wow! Congratulations!!

Congrats Sahar! Hopefully I will be on the admit list soon too.

I'm kind of worried that I didn't do my best in the interview, especially since everyone seemed really great. It's early in the process though, so I guess I shouldn't stress too much.

How many people were there at the interviews?
