Applications are due just around the corner, and I was just wondering if anyone else has started the application process yet.

It would be good to hear back from others who are going through the same process!

I just had my interview today and was notified via phone about an early admittance 30 minutes after! I got into the FNP track, turned in my application in December, and was notified in early February to schedule an interview.

Congrats Mase 15 and Sahar! I just found you here on All Nursing! That is a wonderful accomplishment! I had my interview today and I'd like to say good luck to everyone going through the interview process! Everyone on this board seems very driven and compassionate and I would be proud to be classmates with each and every one of you!

CORRECTION !!!!!! I made a mistake, oct was for western university. smu was jan 15th. A email should have been sent to let students know that theyre app is being reviewed. If not, I would reccomend contacting Karena.

I "think" my app has been forwarded to SMU by NursingCAS, but I haven't received any e-mails about whether they are or have reviewed my application yet. Did those who have been accepted and those still waiting receive that e-mail?

And congratulations Mase15! Good work. Can you or Sahar say anything or give any advice about how to stand out during interviews or tell us about how you approached the interview and tackled it?

Hi Red Cat,

Were you in the 9 am interview or 11:30 today? Any news on an early acceptance? I was in the 9 am group and felt everyone really stood out in their own way! :-)

Hi RosePetalss,

Alas, I'm still waiting. No emails at all, and I check all folders just in case, even though I whitelisted the domain. GPA still doesn't show calculated, although I'm pretty sure SMU isn't waiting for that.

I'm going to be following up early next week with ****** to see if they have my app.

Let me know if you find out anything!

My only advice would be to BE YOURSELF, and let you personality shine through. Sounds cliche, but it worked!

Hey polo2004! I was in the 9:00 yesterday. I did get a call for early acceptance. I am so excited. I was honored to get the call because I felt the entire group deserves a spot in the program. Hard to believe, but I totally enjoyed the interview. Have you heard anything?

Kzimmerman--it sounds like the applications are slowly trickling down from Nursingcas. I am pretty sure they are still contacting people for interviews. Contacting ****** certainly won't hurt though!

Hi Red Cat! That's great. Congrats! I am assuming they contacted you yesterday? That seams to be the consensus for early admits. I haven't heard anything yet. I thought the interview was great as well :-)! Have you heard from anyone else that received early admission?

Hey polo, thanks! I was beyond happy to get the call. I haven't heard from anyone else yet. I'm anxious to see who else from our group will be in the program. I'm sure I'll be seeing you soon, I hope we get to be classmates! I'm looking forward to starting the program.
