i am still anxiously awaiting to hear from smu. i checked nursingcas and i have a application completed date of 1/25/11, but under GPA calculations it says "there is no information to display".

hope to hear from them soon!

Wow, I can't believe people have heard from SMU already! Congratulations! And I thought it would be too early considering the NursingCAS system. I haven't heard anything back yet, and I wonder if that has to do with my last transcript getting in around the end of January. I'm so anxious and nervous now. I really hope to hear from SMU soon. Good luck on interviews!

Hi RosePetals, I submitted my application pretty early, back in November. That's probably why I got called for an interview so soon. Don't worry though, I think SMU has a rolling admission of sorts where earlier apps get the early interviews. I just wish we could all get in! (that's the bottom line ;))

Hey guys!

I received an e-mail today and I have scheduled it for Feb. 22nd. Is there anyone else going on that day?

Also, does anyone know the format of the interview? I hear that it is a group interview of some sort....

Also, does anyone know what to do if my grades have been posted since I submitted my application? NursingCAS says you can't edit anything after you submitted it, and I e-mailed SMU, but failed to get a response. I have to post my last semesters' grades, as well as my classes in progress this semester.

Does anyone have any idea?

Hey Mase15,

Congrats on your interview offer! Try contacting ****** through phone and if she doesn't answer (and she doesn't), leave her a message. When I call her, she's usually too busy to pick up the phone, so I have to leave a message, and she calls back right away, so make sure you leave a message and give her your phone number to call back. If you don't know *******'s phone number, call the SMU nursing office, and they can transfer you. I think that's the best way to find out what to do about your most recent grades.

I think interviews have been in a group style for the past years, unless they change it this year. I think group ones are not as nerve wracking as going one-on-one.

Also, looks like NursingCAS has calculated my GPA and everything's set. Does that mean they've sent the app to SMU? I hope SMU gets my app soon. Maybe those of us who submitted apps near the due date will be getting contacted soon! Are all interview offers made through e-mail this year, not phone?

What date did you show "complete" under your "Designations" tab? My GPA isn't calculated yet, and I wanted to try to get an idea of timing (assuming they're maintaining the same pace over there at NursingCAS). LMK when you get a chance.

Hi Katie,

I submitted on January 2nd, but the complete date shows January 25th since my last transcript got in on that date. Hopefully, your lagging transcript will get in soon!

Hi everyone. I received an email on Wednesday afternoon for an interview at SMU on the 22nd. I'm very excited to meet everyone. Anyone else in the 11:30 time slot? To all that have not received anything yet, don't give up hope. I'm thinking that there are a few rounds of interviews so there is still a shot. Good luck to everyone!!

That's pretty much the most detailed post I've seen (there may be better ones), but honestly a lot of it sounds practical and could be applied to just about any job interview scenario. I know I've seen other posts, but I can't seem to find them quickly.
