Hi Everyone! I know this is a bit early but I will be applying to SMU for the ABSN program of Summer 2014 (Oakland Campus). I am currently finishing my Bachelor's degree in health science at CSUEB right now and I will be done in the fall. I just wanted to start a discussion on this topic and get to know some people who are applying to the program for summer 2014. Let's get to know each other, share our stats, etc.
Here are my estimated stats that they look at:
Last 60 units GPA: 3.5
Pre req GPA: 3.4
Teas: 83 but I am re taking it in a couple of weeks
Experience: I am a CNA and Med tech currently. I volunteer at John Muir hospital and at American Red Cross.
I hope to hear from some prospective applicants soon!

I emailed ------------- this morning to see if there have been any updates for Oakland and her response was, "In my last email to all Oakland applicants, I had “predicted” end of February. I have not heard yet. You will be notified as soon as I hear." Just wanted to let you all know in case you were curious of the status. :)
Hey everyone! Congrats to everyone who has been accepted so far. I'm a little late to this message board, I know, but now I'm just so anxious about the waitlist! I was number 11 - but it sounds like some people from the waitlist have been accepted now? Does anyone know how much it has moved so far?
I know I could just email --------- but I don't want to bother her with too many emails!
Hi jhoxie, I know someone who got into the BSN program a few weeks before it started, she was #8 on the wait list. Don't give up hope, I think there is a lot of movement right up until the program starts. :)

so far the waitlist has moved 3 spots. I am now 4 and I have no idea what is going on. I don't know what's taking so long and I don't want to bombard be with emails
I emailed ----------- today because I wanted to know if we would be notified by March 1st, since that is when the next round of applications are due. She said shes in Colorado and won't be back to SMU until tomorrow and is going to ask for an update from the admission people. She told me to check back in tomorrow. I will notify everyone tomorrow once I get a response back.
