Hi Everyone! I know this is a bit early but I will be applying to SMU for the ABSN program of Summer 2014 (Oakland Campus). I am currently finishing my Bachelor's degree in health science at CSUEB right now and I will be done in the fall. I just wanted to start a discussion on this topic and get to know some people who are applying to the program for summer 2014. Let's get to know each other, share our stats, etc.
Here are my estimated stats that they look at:
Last 60 units GPA: 3.5
Pre req GPA: 3.4
Teas: 83 but I am re taking it in a couple of weeks
Experience: I am a CNA and Med tech currently. I volunteer at John Muir hospital and at American Red Cross.
I hope to hear from some prospective applicants soon!
Hey Everyone! I'm pretty late to this discussion, but it's awesome to hear all the good news! I as well have been accepted to begin in April, but can't start in April after all. I'm in the process of trying to get my start date switched to June, so I can stay in San Mateo. Has some one created a ABSN Summer 2014 Facebook group yet? Also, I'm looking to move to San Mateo or surrounding cities soon, and might be possibly looking for a roommate, so if any other guys are looking for a roommate shoot me a PM, email ([email protected]), or find me on Facebook using my email. I received an email from a Samuel Merritt counselor to inform me that June cohort files will be transferred to the school of nursing on 2/12 for faculty review. Answers should be given at end of this month or beginning of March. Good luck to you all that applied to San Mateo June cohort

Interesting ... perhaps that means that those of us who applied to Oakland will be hearing something soon!
I emailed E****** this week and she informed me she had not heard from the school of nursing yet, and that we can expect to here end of month or early march.... that date keeps getting pushed farther and farther out it seems. :-/

Everyoneb else hang in there, The april cohort itself isn't complete yet so that is probably why they are taking awhile!
