Hello!
I'm new to this site, but have been following the allnurses posts regarding Samuel Merritt program applications religiously for a while now. I recently applied to the ABSN and ELMSN - FNP program for the July 1 deadline. Thought it would be great to have a place to provide insight, stay updated and share experiences with all of you through this terrifying journey. I mean we ONLYYY have to wait until October - November to hear anything. Let the wait begin.....
Looking forward to hearing from you all :)
Lots of questions from the previous quizzes just like she hinted in the final review file, if you did well on the quizzes, you will be fine on the final.
Thanks for the insight! I did OK on the first portion of the quizzes (consistently getting 16s), and then started doing really well towards the end. My plan was to just review all the quizzes we took and maybe a quizlet or two. Thanks again!
Just to clarify, it wasn't just strictly old quiz material. I studied from the past quizzes and looked for the quizlets that had the same questions in them. Quizlets ended up having even more questions to review with. There were a lot of questions from the old quizzes and quizlets! Ended up with an A in the class :) Hope that helps!

It does-- thank you! I'll be sure to review quizlet, too!
Baz1, you should definitely accept a spot if you were able to get one. Then, if you are accepted by SMU, you can let go of the other one (unless you've already committed to it with money). I seriously would not chance it. Great that you got a spot at any school! I wish I had the ability to move for school. Hopefully we hear closer to September, but I'm not holding my breath.
Hi everyone! I recently finished patho and pharm at SBCC and was wondering where we should send the transcripts to? It won't let me add another school or classes on NursingCAS and therefore I cannot update those classes through that site. Should I send transcripts directly to the admissions office? Thanks in advance!
Hello! I contacted Samuel Merritt about this when I finished another course, and they will request transcripts from you if/when you get accepted. Other than that we do not need to turn those in until then.
"If you are admitted, we will request your final official transcripts down the road. We will follow up with additional instructions providing this information."
That makes sense, because I sent my transcripts and Butler CC (where I took the class) confirmed that they sent, but NursingCas has not confirmed that they received them and it's been like 2 weeks. I was told it won't impact GPAs.
I guess you can call the site you're applying to and ask them, but answered seemed to differ (and that was the case looking back at old threads too).
I haven't sent my transcript from SBCC yet because they haven't posted the final grade yet, although the class ended last Friday. But I'm hoping to send it soon since it's the my last prerequisite! And maybe it can help me get in this time.
l also applied last semester for the san mateo campus and was waitlisted. I had 5 courses in progress at the time, but now all of them are done so hopefully it'll make a difference! Good luck to you! Are you sending the transcripts to nursingcas electronically?
