Hello!
I'm new to this site, but have been following the allnurses posts regarding Samuel Merritt program applications religiously for a while now. I recently applied to the ABSN and ELMSN - FNP program for the July 1 deadline. Thought it would be great to have a place to provide insight, stay updated and share experiences with all of you through this terrifying journey. I mean we ONLYYY have to wait until October - November to hear anything. Let the wait begin.....
Looking forward to hearing from you all :)
As I had mentioned in my earlier post, I too was waitlisted for San Mateo. I chose Sacramento as my second choice but (anyone) please correct me if I'm wrong but we only have the opportunity to be admitted/waitlisted to one campus? You are fairly high on the waitlist so congratulations! It sounds like you are being proactive with getting on your application for Summer just in case you don't make it off. I'm wishing you and everyone else in similar situations the best and I hope to meet some of you sooner than later!
@ JBBSN07, I too was wondering this about the secondary campus, because I put Sacramento as my second choice campus but only heard back from San Mateo.
To everyone still waiting, hang in there! I know it's rough, but hopefully answers will be coming soon and I'm praying it's all good news for everyone!
This is from the ABSN FAQ page:
"You should apply to only one campus per term (Summer, Spring and Fall). There is space on the application to indicate a 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice campus as applicable for the term you are applying. Initially we will consider you for your 1st choice campus only, but eventually we may be able to accommodate you at another campus if your 1st choice campus is unavailable."

Congrats to everyone who applied, got in, and waitlisted!
Been reading the comments, trying to absorb all information.
I found out I got a waitlisted for Sacramento, #16.0!
I'm praying this cohort will move, anyone out there similar on the list?
Think I'll apply for summer cohort too, this was my first application. So i'm hopeful.
