I'm new to this site, but have been following the allnurses posts regarding Samuel Merritt program applications religiously for a while now. I recently applied to the ABSN and ELMSN - FNP program for the July 1 deadline. Thought it would be great to have a place to provide insight, stay updated and share experiences with all of you through this terrifying journey. I mean we ONLYYY have to wait until October - November to hear anything. Let the wait begin.....
MamaKat, you're not alone in this. I feel the exact way. I was up at 2:30am like okay only a few more hours until MAYBE we get something. A long weekend is ahead, and we get to do this all next week. I am already signing up for some 8 week courses, hoping to improve my GPA a bit. No news is troubling. I believe most seats are taken already, as well.
I keep checking this forum as well as the ELMSN forum since I still have yet to hear back about my ELMSN application. I'm really hoping you guys find out soon. You all sound like awesome people and I would love to have you as classmates! I'm still optimistic that there's more good news coming!
I have been trying to figure out how to improve my application for next time as well. Like you WebbC1, I am looking into 8 week classes to try to take this semester as well as trying to figure out if I need to sign up to take Micro again next semester to get my science gpa to a 4.0. This weekend is going to be so long!
Studentnurse, if you're in the Sac Area and havent taken it at Los Rios campuses I highly suggest Siby Sabu for Micro. He has us write a lot of papers, but grades harder on those than exams. I feel like I am obtaining more information and not just memorizing. He's reasonable too.

Thanks for the suggestion! I actually live in Vacaville so I've been taking classes through the Solano college system. I originally took the classes I am retaking in the Los Rios system so I can't take them there anyways because I got Bs.
