I'm new to this site, but have been following the allnurses posts regarding Samuel Merritt program applications religiously for a while now. I recently applied to the ABSN and ELMSN - FNP program for the July 1 deadline. Thought it would be great to have a place to provide insight, stay updated and share experiences with all of you through this terrifying journey. I mean we ONLYYY have to wait until October - November to hear anything. Let the wait begin.....
Did anyone ever receive an email from SMU about their application AFTER the preliminary review email? I know past cohorts have said that they got a "your application is in final review" emails, but I have not received a thing after the acknowledgement that I submitted and a confirmation of preliminary review.
BTW, I'm a literal basket case today. I don't know how to last until mid-October.
Does anyone know if Columbus Day is likely to prevent letters from going out on Monday?
According to the academic calendar, they don't show a Columbus Day as a holiday, but that also doesn't prove they're there. I know that most companies and state agencies do not celebrate Columbus Day anymore. Even my kids, who have the day off, have it as a teacher work day...
