You probably have a better shot than you think. If most of the people that applied to the ELMSN also applied to the ABSN, those people are most likely to choose the ELMSN opening up spots for everyone else. I applied to both and so far only one person that got into the ELMSN declined, i've only moved up one spot on the waitinglist, (otherwise I'd have no clue), So this means whoever got into both had to say no to the ABSN. I'm sure that ------- is going over the numbers and calling or emailing people as quickly as possible.
She was out of the office yesterday morning, she is out until late this afternoon again, i'm sure with all of her moving around it has just been impossible to get calls out to everyone in one day. If you are really concerned then maybe shoot her an email and she will definitely get back to you, she's great about that.
Don't panic, nothing is set in stone until January 3rd
Don't loose hope MalRey just because of your TEAS. I have a friend who had a decent GPA and experience but totally bombed the TEAS and got accepted into the ELMSN CM program for spring 2011. I like the fact that SMU looks at each applicatiant as a whole and not just based on GPA or just TEAS. Keep positive and know you are not alone in the waiting game.
I FINALLY GOT THE CALL TODAY!!! I'm in!!! I could not be more excited!!!
We should start a facebook group for our new class!!! I can't wait to meet everyone!!
Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted, and best of luck to everyone still playing the waiting game!! Stay optimistic!!
yes I loved volunteering in the ER at Mercy General! You should definitely look into it, but I would get the ball rolling right now, it can take awhile to make sure you have all the appropriate vaccinations and training done!!
I am so happy to see everyone's news about getting "the phone call"... im trying to sit patiently and wait... but it is so tough! Maybe they are calling in alphabetical order and they haven't gotten to the "R" last names yet! Wishful thinking!
