Starting a new thread for the Spring 2011 SMU applicants for the Sacramento Campus and all others as well.

My stats:

Already been in nursing school- Dropped OUT- UGH, why????? *I digress...

*Received a degree from Sac State already, Cum Laude

Science G.P.A.= 3.4

Overall G.P.A. = 3.5

Teas= 84.1

1 year of healthcare experience

1 year of nursing school experience

Multiple community involvement experiences- ERG's, Volunteer on Diversity teams, Church, internships, mentoring, tutoring

*Hoping that this may be the year because I'm going no where fast in my current job field and I want to return to a profession that I have a passion for and am good at!!

She said I need to accept by October 11th with the $350 deposit.

I got my call yesterday too!!!!! I'm so excited. ------- said there were only 44 people that were going to be accepted! I'm sure the rest of the calls will be going out shortly. Good luck everyone!

Congrats!! Just out of curiosity, if your comfortable doing so, can you post stats if you have been accepted? I am just wondering where I stand in comparison... the waiting game is killing me!!

I had letters of rec from a professor, a graduate careers counselor and a NP that I interned with this past summer. I have a summer of shaddowing and volunteering at a Low income clinic in my area.

Science: 3.21

TEAS: 83.5

Reading: 90

Math: 75.6

I had letters of req from a proffessor, and family friend who is working as a nurse in the OR. I volunteered over the summer as well at Mercy General in the ER.

I have a feeling they are having a hard time narrowing it down, because the Stats seem to be so close... Congrats again!!

i agree. there are a lot of good candidates and we all have something great to bring to the table in a different way, whether it be academic, our personal experience of both. i am glad i am not the one making the decisions! good luck everyone and congrats to those who are in already!

For those who have recently gotten a phone call, did they happen to mention how many students have recieved a phone call?

*Ohh & I had references from two co-workers because I have been out of school for so long that I didn't think my nursing teachers would even remember who I was!!

The stats do seem VERY close to each other.

Congrats to everyone! I am so happy that there are finally some more posts about accepted people. I look forward to meeting everyone in January. We will be a great support system for each other...It is going to be one crazy year!!!

I am happy for everyone but worried that my stats are all closer to u guys but never hear from them but i guess at this point i am not in their list feel so sad!!!!!!!!!
