Already been in nursing school- Dropped OUT- UGH, why????? *I digress...
*Received a degree from Sac State already, Cum Laude
Science G.P.A.= 3.4
Overall G.P.A. = 3.5
Teas= 84.1
1 year of healthcare experience
1 year of nursing school experience
Multiple community involvement experiences- ERG's, Volunteer on Diversity teams, Church, internships, mentoring, tutoring
*Hoping that this may be the year because I'm going no where fast in my current job field and I want to return to a profession that I have a passion for and am good at!!
I got a call today as well!! I'm so excited!!! I also interviewed for the ELMSN program and haven't heard anything back about that (probably not a good sign) but I'm thinking I'll go ahead with the ABSN program. Congrats to everyone who's heard so far and good luck to those still waiting!!! :)
Congratulations! Did the caller happen to say how many more calls they would be making this evening? Or if they would continue calls into the weekend or pick back up on Monday?

I'm sorry - I didn't ask how many more calls they would be making this weekend. She did tell me they were taking 40 students, and I only have until Oct. 1 to accept my spot.

I missed the call and listen to the voice messge. As the previous poster said, we have to decide by October 1st. I think this is so they can figure out the rest of the class and make the remaining calls. I think a lot of people will choose the FNP/CM if they applied to both! Good luck!
At my interview for the case management, I was asked which program that I wanted to do, the master's program or the ASBN. I told them I was leaning toward the case management master's.
Yesterday, they called me again to let me know I needed to decide by Oct. 1. I am pretty sure that I will choose the master's since it is more in line with my career goals.
Someone had said they wanted to hear stats? Here's mine:
Is it just me or does it seem as if they are taking a lot less people for the programs? They are only taking 20 this year for the FNP program, they usually take 24 or so. This year they are taking 40 for the ABSN program? I was told by the admissions office that they are taking 48, but if someone heard differently, then I guess that's just what they took last year.
Calls might be going out next week too...They may be waiting to see who accpets from the first round of calls. They have to find out which program the people who got accepted into the FNP/CM and the ABSN are going with. Once they find that out by 10/1, then there will probably be more acceptances made b.c. that will open up some spots.
Mine too. ...and I am checking it (my phone) obsessively. Also, just as an update, on Friday night, I received an e-mail response from Sac that they have called 30 people thus far offering acceptance. Haven't heard anything from anybody today about calls, but like everyone else said, I imagine they are making calls this week and then some more next week once the accepted applicants decide which program they are choosing.
